wouldn't it be nice if they had Trade Paperbacks of these comics?

I especially like Shadow Cabinet, early Static and Blood Syndicate.

I loved Milestone comic books :atp: Shadow Cabinet was one of my favourite series from them

I wish DC would bring those characters back

I think they were merged with the Dc universe. A few characters showed up in JLA.

They did when McDuffie was writing it

I still miss him :csad: he was a great writer. I really hope DC use some of the Milestone characters more often

I've been picking up a lot of Xombi back issues because of the new series. Always wondered how the other series were.

It's also being used as a tribute to McDuffie and reuniting some old Milestone folks. Although I think the main story is still by Felecia Henderson, who had nothing to do with Milestone, as far as I'm aware.

There's also Xombi, which was a milestone property and being written by the same guy who wrote him back then. It's been pretty awesome so far.

Xombi was (and is) one of my favorite Milestone books. Shadow Cabinet as well.

I really hope they reprint some of the older stuff after reading the new series.

not for nothing , but i hope that they show up to kick the snot out of STATIC and then HARDWARE shows up to rescue his butt :woot:

Definitely remember Milestone Bought most of the comics when I was in college. Some of the best books in my collection.

Is there a thread about the Static comic that was a tribute to McDuffie?

I'm liking the current Static 52 Series,.. Waiting for ICON and Rocket to make an apperance,.. and some Hardware kicking behind and taking names.

^^You know Static is canceled, right?

^Heh, knew what that was gonna be before I clicked it.

At this point I'm really hoping DC just leaves the Milestone characters alone, and lets the licensing deal lapse. Then when I win the lottery I'll start publishing them :hehe:

I really,.. REALLY need to stop liking stuff that gets ignored or canceled.

ah.....the days when people didn't refer to Static as Static Shock

As much as I enjoyed the idea of the Blood Syndicate and the characters, it was kind of confusing for me. Like, I never felt the writers really explained why they decided to become super heroes or even team up with each other adequately. Sure, they went about being superheroes in a very gang-like manner, but why they shifted from being criminals with largely selfish and/or shortsighted goals to wanting to protect Paris Island always seemed kind of vague. Even members who were stated or implied to have become criminals in the first place simply to protect and/or make money for their families, it was never very clear why they made the jump to "we should try to protect everybody."

I think Milestone is stuck with DC for a long time. Without McDuffie, there is just very little appeal for the Milestone characters to other publishers. And even when McDuffie was alive, the only publisher that showed interest was DC (the last publisher of resort for him). Also, unlike the Red Circle characters, the Milestone Universe has been integrated into the DC Universe with some pretty big ramifications for both Milestone and DC continuity.
