Maybe the loser Pete living with his aunt is the clone

There were some weird ass characters in the clone days.

Traveller, Armada, Jessica, Desiree, Cyber Hobgoblin and his band o' hooligans, Joystick and the great game people, Gaunt (who SOOooo was not sposta be robot master), Dr. Trainer, Trainer-Lady-Octopus and lots more

but I look back on that mess with fond memories cuz those, for me, were the Jr. High days when you obviously knew it wasn't real, but it "felt" real.

Pre-retcon Traveller, Joystick, and Lady Octopus were all great characters.
Some didn't like Lady Octopus because they felt she was a poor sub for the original (which I agree), but did you not see her awesomness during the revival of Doc Ock arc?

I said weird, I didn't say bad. I grew up on the clone saga, I love all of it!

Jessica Caradine was the most genius love interest for Spider-Man in a long time too. Dating the daughter of the man who killed Uncle Ben is the ultimate Parker luck.
