Anyone else constantly getting...

Nah, even I wouldn't blame this on the Batfans this time around.

It's 2008 all over again, folks. Since history is repeating itself, trust me, it won't be fixed. They'll say it will, but it won't. All we can do is wait for the crazy Batman fans to go away and that won't happen till at least September.

This is not like in 2008. Then the forums would get kind of slow, this is different.

The difference this time is the Avengers. That's why the site is crashing so early. Back then it would get slow whenever there was a Batman update. But once the movie was released, the site crashed all the time till September.

Nah, the crashes came a couple of weeks after Avengers. This lagginess is just random.

Nothing is random. The Avenger is a huge, record-breaking success that's popular with audiences, fans, and critics. And so, Batman fans are nervous about how that will affect the reception for Dark Knight Rises. So, there's a lot to talk about at the moment. And with so much activity, the site is crashing.

Alright you can stop there, before you derail the thread into a complete hole.

C. Lee said it is a server configuration problem or some such that will take a while to fix.

Yea i don't think this is normal lag. It's like something is blocking the connection altogether.

When it happens, it doesn't even TRY to load the next screen. You click a link then instantly says "the server couldn't connect" or something.

Exactly. This isn't a demand issue IMHO.

Yeah, it wasn't from traffic. It was just a server config. Works fine on my end so far.

Big thanks to our IT guys and girls.

It's still doing it for me....I had to refresh twice to get to this thread.

I got 12 times so far in a span of 20 minutes

Now I am getting bombarded with COD pop-up windows. I know the SHH has to make money, but this is the most noxious use of online ads I've ever experienced.

Haven't gotten the error anymore so far! Thanks all you geek IT peeps for fixing the issue!

Use adblock for google chrome.http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&ved=0CGEQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fchromeadblock.com%2F&ei=ymTAT4rzIOmR6gHynJngCg&usg=AFQjCNG_Sed4jspxpNnl9d-wmhArzALh4g It doesn't slow down your browser. If you have another browser any decent ad blocker should work. Most browsers have an ad blocker specifically designed for them.

Problem occurs = 3 pages worth of complaints and insults

Problem fixed = 2 post saying thank you

lmao

Thank you to everyone that helped get this fixed.:)

Yes, thank you for ridding me of one online frustration.
