Anyone else sick of seeing "In Singer We Trust" or "A.T.N (Alligence to Nolan)" or "G.T.A.C." (give Topher a chance) in people's signatures? Its just kinda...sad.
Uh, it's kind of annoying, but no more disconcerting than people using these psuedo-zen like quotes from self-help experts, celebrities, or historical figures in general[esp. political ones]. I kind of scratch my head at that because those are things that people can bs all day.
Ex: Son, the path to life is through the journey that you take.
I can learn day by day to accomplish little by little.
My eyes can see what my heart cannot, yet my mind bends to both.
and I could go on and on and on w/ this bs.
It just makes me wonder when I hear someone quoting stuff like this as 'wisdom'.
it's nothing more than empty deception.
I'm not really speaking in terms of the advice of a lot of credible authors though. They have a lot of gems to take to the bank, but opinions are apples and oranges.
