Anyone know what other directors were up for the original Hulk movie?

I can't find any news anywhere but they had to have more than just Ang Lee in mind. Considering they're going back to Penn's 1996 treatment I wonder what other directors were in contention that might be interested this time around? SHH Archives don't seem to go back far enough.

All I could find was Ang Lee approached Marvel and pushed the project into production. He really wanted this film. Otherwise...nothing. David Hayter would know but I can't find his site.

Ang Lee would be a terrible choice for Hulk II. Too much psycho-babble in the original movie! I need more action! Hulk must smash!!!

Now you think that Ang Lee whas anouched in March 2002,but i also found a message from 02 March 2001 where there write about Ryan Phillippe as The Hulk and Ang Lee as directer.

There is also a dutch messages from 05 April 2001 where there confirmd that Ang Lee is askd to direct The Hulk.
