I was never a fan of the cartoon.......

But the current Justice Lords storyline is blowing me away!

Justice League was a great cartoon......and it left a lot of dangling plotlines when it finished with JLU.

"A Better World" was one of the best stories the Timm verse produced. But it always left me wondering what happened when they left that alternate universe. Could Lord Batman hold it down by himself??

Well now we know........you gotta read this story if you are a fan of the DC Animated Universe........

I dropped Batman Beyond when they decided to relaunch it as Batman Beyond Universe. I found it irritating how DC was so incredibly wishy-washy on which continuity it belonged to that I had no desire to continue on when they decided to relaunch Batman Beyond.

I've never read this book because I didn't like the show....But when I saw the Justice Lords on the cover, I took a peek..........

Boy was I glad that I did.... check it out.....It's the current storyline..... should still be in the shop if you're interested.

I have no idea what you're talking about Hippie Hunter, DC always made it clear that it was an extension of the DCAU. Mainly because that's the only reason it existed! Sure, they added characters that never technically were in the cartoon (Hush for example), but that's the fun of it! Seeing these characters come together in new and exciting ways!

Batman Beyond Universe is one of my favorite comics hands down! I look forward to it every month!

What are your thoughts on how they are tied into the Justice Lords dangling plot line??

This to me, has me blown away......

Were you a fan of the Animated show? If so, what other open plots would you like to show up in this book?

I read some of that JLU future stuff but dropped it as I found it wasn't great.

Adam Beechen originally wrote Batman Beyond as if it were a part of the main DC Universe. It's the reason why they brought up things such as Batman Incorporated, Dick Grayson's tenure as Batman and being a member of the Teen Titans and Outsiders, the Gotham Earthquake, etc.

And Batman Beyond Unlimited was a continuation of Beechen's work. But when reading it was frustrating that you had Superman Beyond which felt like it was more DCU centric, Batman Beyond which was a wishy-washy DCU/DCAU hybrid, and Justice League Beyond which felt flat out DCAU centric, all the while these three inconsistent continuity stories were in continuity with one another. It was an absolute mess that got messier when DC relaunched their line with the New 52.

DC's position on the Batman Beyond comics being an extension of the DCAU only became clear when they relaunched it as Batman Beyond Universe and by that point, I lost my interest.
