Anything Smallville does Heroes does better!!!

I just get mad that SV has Superman...a person with all the powers in the world...and they only CONSISTENTLY utilize his speed and strength (and obviously his invulnerability, but that's a given).

He hasn't touched superbreath since Sneeze, and he's using Heat Vision and X-Ray Vision less and less as time goes on.

actually he used superbreath again in Freak last season as well. Although being able to blow really hard isnt exactly a practical power, your sort of limited to when you'd actually have to use it for anything

He has yet to master the ice breath variation of that power...but I really doubt the SV team will bother.

These characters were obviously used to keep the show proped up untill it finishes.

Speaking of killing of characters, I was a bit upset that [BLACKOUT]Parkman survied 4 bullets to the torso while DL dies from one to the torso.[/BLACKOUT]
You don't know that's what killed him.

You ASSUME it, but four months passed...a lot could have happened.

Fair it is an assumption so maybe will will see the real death...but as of right now there are only two option.....died at the end of season on e or during those four months...

ok I didn't read the entire thread but...

Heroes is about people being heroes...where as SV is about Clarks' journey to becoming one (though it is kinda slow and drawn out at times I still watch and love SV)

Kind of right...

But Heroes is also about a persons journey to becoming a hero. Like SV. Heroes just does that journey better.

better? ok i say differently (beacuse it's a different story)

deffinately quicker...alot quicker

even though I say it's different I can agree with better since Heroes is amazing, well done, planned and thought out...etc

-edit-

Heroes is about several peoples journey whereas SV is about Clarks

Indeed, the rest of this thread simply accounts for the different aspects of each show...and simply states the opions about the two shows. Heroes has recieved more praise.

Personally I'm pretty glad that Heroes became to be, and even though it's not nearly perfect, it's great deal better than anything I've seen with a superhero theme. This, if nothing else, hopefully encourages others to venture forward with superhero stuff and work them professionally, believing in their work.

In contrast, I never expect SV to get metaphysical about... anything. The late resurrection of Krypton certainly backs my opinion about the show, but still, it's pretty fun occasionally and I really like the leading cast - actually... now that I think about it, there really isn't anyone on Heroes that I would like or care that much. I just like what the show does. In that light SV wins for me.

Oh... wait... forgot about the flying congressman. He rocks.

I can see how you can be torn by the 2 shows....but Heroes has so many characters too choose from and many progressions to watch. SV has only a few.

I'm not, and I don't think that liking one of these has to mean disliking the other. These are not in competition in my head, even if they're compared in a way or another. In the end they handle the shared fundamentals quite so differently that it's like comparing... Diagnosis Murder and House M.D., or something like that.

I feel the same way, I loved Smallville for many years, but I can only take so much of the "I've come to Talk, Turning back to Talker, Get PO'd and Walk away" scenes that are in EVERY SINGLE Smallville episode. Seriously though, The progression of SM is not as quick as I would like, They tamper too much with the history, Lex never seems to get evil enough and the situations can be pretty lame, but at least they do it with style and consistantly. Clark on many occasions, once he learned that the power was available to him did his best to control that power, (ie, heat visioin). He knows he can fly, even though he might not remember it. So wouldnt one assume that he would try to learn that one? It frigg'n Flying!

The Clark flying issue is one of much debate....but that a parralel of this is in Nathans character from Heroes. He knows he can fly but does not use it that much fo publicity reasons....

Of course we want to see him fly as it is cool. But when puch comes to shove he does use his power...
