Age of Ultron AoU Post-credits scene discussion (*SPOILERS*)

I still think Loki gave The Gauntlet to him, but the logical explanation to your statement:

:oldrazz:
I don't recall ever seeing Loki having the Gauntlet even in the Prelude comics. :more:

In Thor 1 the tesseract is in the vault and the rainbow bridge is working

The Frost Giant's casket was in the weapon's vault, not the tesseract. Understandable, as they look similar.

The tesseract had been hidden on Earth for quite some time, until the Red Skull uncovered it in TFA. Once it was recovered in TA I'm assuming that the Tesseract enabled the Asgardians to rebuild the bi-frost.

During the conversation with Cap, Thor, and Tony at the end of the movie, Thor or Tony (I forget which one) says that someone's been orchestrating events, like a chess game or something like that. So Thano's was behind Loki's plan (obviously) but it also seems he somehow knew before hand that Ultron would try to destroy earth as well.

I wonder where Thanos got the gauntlet from, if he had retrieved it from Odin's Vault or if he had it the whole time.

I doubt the one we saw in Odin's vault is even in continuity. It's easier to miss than to see, and it already had all the Gems in it. It was just a little tip of the hat.

I think Thanos constructed the Gauntlet himself, now he has to fill it.

He had it the whole time, we have to discount the one in the vault as an Easter Egg

I loved it, I loved it so. It was short, but so sweet. Brolin's delivery was perfect.

I wish they had offered up a little something more in the mid-credits scene. It was basically 10 seconds long, Thanos was like "I guess I gotta **** them up myself", and then that was it.

For all the setting up for future films that they did throughout the film itself, the mid-credits scene came off as a little weak.

And the gauntlet in the weapons vault was a righty, while Thanos' from the Infinity War preview was a lefty.

Exactly. Makes sense Thanos would have another Infinity Gauntlet, just in case he needed it.

Can we please get a live action Thanos? Vision was done amazingly well. CGI Thanos just looks bad....

It was awesome to see Thanos again :)

My heart pump when he put on the glove

Everyone cheer

CG is fine but I still don't like the design. They made the chin too long and fat. He looks goofy rather than menacing. The first version was much better.

The 1st version of Thanos we see in TA wasn't CGI.

Would've been interesting to see what Thanos looks like if it was done practically with prosthetics.

I think Red Skull would've looked better with CGI

I thought it was really boring, like everything Thanos related. They haven't given us any reason to fear/like/hate the character. It's all built around nostalgia for him from the comics (and I never really cared for him there, either). Having that 60 second (at most) clip did nothing to get me excited for Infinity War, especially since the writers that did Cap, Thor 2 & Agent Carter are doing the script.

One of the weaker credits sequences, but INH, T:TDW & GoTG's are still worse.
