Alex Ross art is just ugly IMO.
I spit out my tea.

Sorry, I'm just more of a Jim Lee guy.
I love Alex Ross. He's one of my favorite artists ever...the classic lineup looks so epic and iconic when he draws them.

Ok then. Beautifully done, but terrible costume. You can say you hate the design of Aquaman there, but that is a top notch manip.
I agree RE Alex Ross, he is clearly a very talented artist, but his style doesn't work for superheroes as everyone just looks like old fat cosplayers.
His superheroes at least look like they could be real people, unlike the totally unrealistic musculature with the painted on costumes typical of most superhero artists.

Alex Ross draws characters as "fat"? Oh dear lord...

Hey, it's fine not to like Ross' art, but saying it makes the characters, who all have great physiques and toned bodies, look fat falls into the head scratching territory for me and makes me wonder about the lofty physical standards those that do think so must be judging the general populace under. I guess the average pro-wrestler is fat too?

...He has a point. I'm a Francis Manapul man myself. Simple is good. Or Jeff Lemire, he isn't a good choice for most runs though.
