Can't say I miss him in the least though.

I just knew he wouldn't last after the comments he made in the thread about a guy frying a hamster. Oh well, I don't miss him either after the absurd comments he made.

Cruelty to animals really does suck. Whenever I read or hear it on the news I always feel a sinking feeling in my chest.

Animal cruelty often acts like a gateway drug to other horrific crimes. Not that torturing defenseless animals isn't horrific in and of itself. People who hurt animals are sick and need treatment, after punishment of course.


The sad thing is that in many places animal cruelty isn't considered a serious crime. It is too often a misdemeanor instead of a felony. Here in Maryland the laws were changed recently after a rash of disgusting attacks on cats and dogs. Kids were setting defenseless animals on fire for nothing but the sick thrill of it. The pain and suffering of those poor animals is just heartbreaking and the prospect of what the criminals might go on to do to other animals and human beings is terrifying.

I think that's if you just use the a image URL option it goes away. If you upload your avvy (like JAL for instance) it stays forever.
