crook was a banned name. he snuck back in i guess? or he broke a rule or something. i don't remember
It's funny, 'cause I almost never visit the politics forum myself but I really noticed Shemtov's comments in various threads in the community forum.not in politics forum i'd be guessing
If he did, then Timstuff is the one who got Timstuff banned. Some things aren't cool to joke about and even a broken clock (or mentally ill Shemtov) is right twice a day.
You will discover I make steroids mixing hot sauceWhen Spider-AzIz is gone, we will learn he harvested the organs of kittens for his underground black-market.
Not even remotely true. But if you're going to joke about something that people get touchy about in a place where you'll incur a penalty over it, you'd better do it skillfully.
At least people who joke about the Holocaust admit that it happened.![]()
I would never joke to someone who might take offense to it though.
The holocaust isn't cool to joke about. Period. There is no way to "skillfully" joke about a nightmarish event that resulted in the systematic deaths of 10 million Jews, Poles, homosexuals, gypsies and disabled people. Period. So yes, remotely true. Don't really care if you disagree with me about that. I feel I'm on the right side of that particular argument. Looks like the mods agreed.
That's a false equivalency. You can joke about something and know it was a terrible thing. I can crack a joke about a terrible event and not say it was a "funny time".
Did the figure increase again? 6 -> 8 -> 10?The holocaust isn't cool to joke about. Period. There is no way to "skillfully" joke about a nightmarish event that resulted in the systematic deaths of 10 million Jews, Poles, homosexuals, gypsies and disabled people. Period. So yes, remotely true.
I think the former. Making a joke about the holocaust is stupid and tasteless, but denying it is deeply sinister. The latter would not end a friendship for me; the former would.But....is it worse to say that it never happened, or to say that it was a funny time?
