Somehow I greatly doubt that all the mods collude together for each infraction. Usually doesn't only one mod make that decision? So an appeal simply reevaluates whether that was the right decision or not.

I've had mods tell me they've consulted other mods on infraction decisions.

Years ago when the Hype was more wild west, I posted a picture of a girl fully clothed, hog tied. Like a year and a half ago, i posted the same thing and I was infracted. I talked to an admin and showed them both posts, and it was reversed.

Funny story, that Deathlok poster who said he liked wearing women's underwear, and I told him not to get his panties in a bunch. Met with laughter.

Other poster who was complaining, about something, same comment. Infraction.

Gotta love how everyone goes from the same playbook.

I've seen and known that some mods, whether alone or in a group, do have it out for certain posters. It's understandable, but not justifiable. We're all human so it's natural, but I think it's important to not let it affect how they mod, which is not always the case. It also doesn't help that some mods have stricter and looser interpretations of the rules.

I got an infraction one time for posting an "inappropriate video" (more like a copyrighted full movie from Youtube). Literally 2 minutes after I posted it, I went back and edited the post, removing the link because I knew it would probably get me in trouble. I got an infraction anyway. The mod then deleted the edited post and the infraction remained. I thought that was a little unfair since I had a lapse in judgement and tried to fix my mistake immediately. Whatever though.....
