Are you a friendly person?

Are you a friendly soul?

  • Of course, I greet everyone I see with a smile and a "how you do?"

  • Depends on the mood

  • Anyone I run into can **** off and the horse they rode in on

  • I don't leave the house, I'm a shut-in

Wait a minute. There was an open door already and you were expected to open the other side to make more room for the entering females?

Seems a bit excessive.

If I held open the closed side of an already open doorway I'd expect some strange looks. Unless the person entering is royalty, a single door open is sufficient.
Well there were 4 doors, and the one that was open was on one side, and its usually for people with disabilities because it has a button you can push so it opens automatically. I saw a lot of people already going through it and was expecting it to close, but it didn't so I went through. I thought she was behind me but she went to the door on the other side.

I'm pretty sure she was joking since she's always kids about how I'm not a proper gentleman when it comes to little things like that. But its weird because I always try to walk a little faster when I'm walking with a girl, but often times, I'm either on the wrong side, in terms of how the door opens, or they just open the door themselves.

Holding the door open is mostly for strangers you'll never see again so it isn't done to boost your reputation. I do it because I hate when people slam the door in other peoples faces and I believe being courteous brightens up peoples days even if only slightly.
Yeah, that's fine. I just tend to pass the door off. As I said, I'm not really chivalrous.

I have to be friendly for my job.

but in reality: I'm not a friendly person, I hate people.

At one place I worked a casual acquantaince called me "smiley". I'm the type of person that smiles at everyone and waves as she walks by. I'm not a "chatty Cathy" - you won't find me hanging out by the water cooler.

...More of a supply closet girl:oldrazz:

Isn't Southern hospitality just a myth?

It's real but often insincere. Never trust a woman who responds to your misfortune with, "Well, bless your heart!" Trust me, she really means, "Your suffering is delicious. MORE!"

Yep, this pretty much sums up a lot of the women I know down here.

I do this on a regular basis whenever I go out somewhere. Just hearing someone else say "Thank you" for opening a door for them makes me feel better. It shows that the person actually appreciates you for taking the time to do something nice for them. And some people have even done it for me one quite a few occasions, sometimes even in return for me opening the door for them.

The little things really do make a big difference.

Truthfully,I'm a recluse and really anti-social. I try to avoid people as much as I can,but....whenever I do encounter people I always try to be considerate and as nice as I can. Although,a few people don't return the favor.:whatever:

While I've gotten a bit quieter in recent years, when approached I am 9.9999 times outta 10 pretty darn friendly...
