Superhero Hype! said:I'll be buying a Playstation 3 only. I've had all the nintendo consoles and just want something different. Plus I have a few PS2 games that I've never been able to play, so it will be nice to just pop those in as well. Also, I'm looking forward to having Blu-ray Disc capability for my entertainment center. The prize doesn't matter to me, this is all that I need.

I doubt that article is going to sway anyone. The main PS3 hindrance will be the price. The fact that Crysis could be possible on the 360, and perhaps couldn't on the PS3 is hardly going to have a whole swathe of gamers crying into their controllers.Horrorfan said:ANYWAY, HERE'S WHAT'S IN THE ARTICLE:
"Crysis could be possible on Xbox 360
The main arguement about Crysis not coming to the consoles 360 and PS3 is because on the technical part wouldn't be possible, because DX10 is missing.
There could be a change for the XBOX 360. ATI recently announced that on the 360 it's possible to install DX10 by an update. It could mean a lot of DX10 games coming to 360, especially with XNA and cross over programming. It looks like a clear case when Microsoft is talking about Live anywhere. If new games will use DX10, it would be more then likely that the 360 runs DX10.
Crysis is one of these games. In this video interview the president of Crytek is telling at this moment, in this form it won't be released on other platforms then PC also because it would be technically hard and scattered resources, but with the new information from ATI and DX10 for XBOX 360 that could all change"
and if you still want a ps3, you are truly a ****** and are lost.

As for your claim that those of us who want a PS3 are '******ed'. The fact you can come out with such a stupid, childish comment speaks more about your lack of intelligence than wanting a PS3 does for we 'lost' ones.
I just don't see this as too big of a deal in terms of wanting to buy a PS3. The poster was trying to suggest this was the final nail in the coffin for the PS3. We'd have to be deluded to want one now. I really think this has next to no impact on the decision.Fenrir said:Crysis is completely a DX10 game. Microsoft and ATI have said it's possible to have DX10 on the 360 via an update hence the reason why it is possible to get a 360 version. The PS3 however, does not (and in all likeliness, WILL not) have DX10, so a PS3 port of Crysis is pretty much impossible unless Crytek decides to dumb down the game or overhaul it's engine to get it running on a PS3.
