I'll be buying a Playstation 3 only. I've had all the nintendo consoles and just want something different. Plus I have a few PS2 games that I've never been able to play, so it will be nice to just pop those in as well. Also, I'm looking forward to having Blu-ray Disc capability for my entertainment center. The prize doesn't matter to me, this is all that I need.

It could mean a lot of DX10 games coming to 360, especially with XNA and cross over programming. It looks like a clear case when Microsoft is talking about Live anywhere. I doubt that article is going to sway anyone. The main PS3 hindrance will be the price. The fact that Crysis could be possible on the 360, and perhaps couldn't on the PS3 is hardly going to have a whole swathe of gamers crying into their controllers.

As for your claim that those of us who want a PS3 are '******ed'. The fact you can come out with such a stupid, childish comment speaks more about your lack of intelligence than wanting a PS3 does for we 'lost' ones.

Friend, you probably don't know what DX10 is and what it can do. Sure, it's not something that will totally decimate the PS3, but it might tip the scales in Microsoft's favor quite a bit.

The 360 GPU is not DX10, it has some DX10 features, but it's not DX10 compliant. Work arounds would need to be done with both.

Yeah but won't they have to rewrite the code to make it work on the PS3? It won't be an easy port job like it could be possible on the 360 (which is practically a PC itself).

Ah to hell with ports anyways. I'll take exclusives that take proper advantage of each platform's specific strengths any day.

It all depends on game pricing for me. If Sony charges me what they are for the PS3 and then slaps an 70-80 dollar price tag on some of their "better" games coughMGS4cough...they can forget it.

If games are a "normal" 60 bucks...ok, I'll wait a year for the price drop and pick one up.
