I don't think Megan Ellison and Alan Taylor are the Robocop/Total Recall remake type.

Agreed. Megan is the one thing I'm really interested in why she bought this with her own money. And her resume shows she's not the type to just make "meh" films.

It totally make sense, nanobots can be used for the aging process as well.

Has nothing to do with logistics or...nano-machines...or magic lol.

It has to do with on screen it does not look good to have a saggy melting ice cream cone of skin coming after you. :oldrazz:

Interesting piece of Terminator art by the very talented Benjamin Carre.

I need your clothes, your boots and your vehicle...

Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones), Brie Larson (The Spectacular Now) and Tatiana Maslany (Orphan Black) all have tested for the coveted role of Sarah Connor, the woman who gives birth to a future rebel leader and must be protected from killer robots. The other major roles to be filled are leader John Connor (Tom Hardy is the prototype) and Kyle Reese, the man who will become his father. But sources say Paramount, director Alan Taylor and star Arnold Schwarzenegger want to select the girl before casting the guys.

Tom Hardy is the prototype

I know he's mentioned in relation to John Connor, but the way they worded this makes me picture these assembly lines of cyborgs that all look like Tom Hardy.

Aha and people keep saying Arnold's not in this, I guess in Arnold's words you're

More so that he should not. Unless it's some small part. It will make me weary of the project more so. I always hope for the best, but it has me concerned what they want of him in it.

Apparently he's playing a Terminator. I'll believe it when I see it.

How DARE you! As if I would ever cheat on this angel...

I actually think the studios should've quit making these after the disastrous T3. The first two were great and then it goes downhill very fast.

Oh well see what comes of this but I don't have high hopes.

I think Alan Taylor has potential. Thor was okay. But his GOT stuff is really good, he can get great performances out of actors. I just think with a better script he can really do some good stuff. I'm not saying that is a guarantee, but him involved and Megan's involvement are the two strands of hope for me. Arnold coming back worries me more so then the pick of director, that and the writers...have not done enough for me to say one way or the other, I'm iffy about them as well.

No I mean, people keep saying they shouldn't make any more Terminator films because the last two were awful. Which is unfair, because they were awful in large part because they had awful directors.

I'm not talking about this upcoming movie.

Patrick Lussier gets a pass from me because of Drive Angry. Cage/Fichtner/Burke power!

We'll just pretend Dracula 2000 never happened. :o
