I really hope that this uses the Terminator theme in full course like T1 and T2. The other 2 were lacking it.

The theme has to be a requirement at this point, the 3rd and 4th lacked instensely because it was missing and both films scores were pretty horrible.

The inclusion of the original theme would automatically increase my optimism for this film by 25%, at least... :o

I really want them to go to the pots and pans style metallic clanging of the first.

I like them both, but prefer the second's theme.

The T1 theme is pure 80s. Love that synthesizer.

Oh, yeah. T1 was full of so much electronic funk lol.

Both scores are amazing in their own ways, and fits their respective movie perfectly.

Do you guys think it's appropriate to label T1 under horror?

Horror seems a bit excessive. Personally, I'd go for Thriller.

That metal skeleton scared the crap out of me when I was an itty bitty Spidey.

I dunno. I can definitely see an argument for it.

A relentless nigh unstoppable killer, constant sense of foreboding, a female protagonist who has all her friends killed, incompetent police, eerie music, and that showdown in the factory.

At least Salvation had the Guns N Roses song. :o

To me, the first Terminator has elements of horror. It's definitely the creepiest. After that, they're sci-fi action.

Halloween is clearly an influence on the first Terminator, there's even a homage in there.

Yeah, the first 3 movies are pretty much 2 hour chase movies.

Who's Reading for the Kyle Reese Role in the Terminator Reboot?
by Silas Lesnick
January 10, 2014

The Kyle Reese role is said to be the last major part yet to be cast in director Alan Taylor's upcoming Terminator reboot (rumored to be titled Terminator: Genesis) and, according to Variety, a final decision isn't far off. They list five names set to test for the role early next week, including Wilson Bethel ("Hart of Dixie"), Thomas Cocquerel ("Anzac Girls"), Jai Courtney (A Good Day to Die Hard), Boyd Holbrook (Milk) and Sam Reid (Anonymous).

The first in a stand-alone trilogy, the new Terminator is already set to star Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jason Clarke and Emilia Clarke. It will be produced by Megan Ellison of Annapurna and David Ellison of Skydance. Dana Goldberg and Paul Schwake of Skydance will serve as executive producers. Laeta Kalorgridis (Avatar, Shutter Island) and Patrick Lussier (Drive Angry) are attached to write the screenplay.
Don't know much about Bethel's acting, but I think he's probably got the best look for Reese.

As a kid (horror movies don't work on me as an adult), I found the T-1000 creepier than any horror movie monster.

Who the hell are those guys? Only one I know is from that awful looking Die Hard movie I've yet to suffer through.

Sawyer's right. I've never heard of Bethel until now, but he has the best look.
