I hated TS, but T3 was a decent, entertaining movie. I laughed at the funny bits.
Alright, even if you hated it, at least tell me you thought that the destructive car chase was awesome?
I still think it's a reboot along the lines of the JJ's Star Trek. Different continuity but not a hard reboot.
I actually like the TX. She wasn't a great villain like the T-1000, but she worked well enough. Plus, the sight of the brawny man himself getting his butt wooped by a woman less than a third of his size was just funny to me. My big problem with T3 was that it completely contradicted the idea of the first two films. Those movie made it very clear over and over and over again that the Skynet-controlled future was only one POSSIBLE future. That it could be prevented/changed. Then we get to T3 and all of a sudden, Judgment Day is inevitable/unavoidable, yeah no not buying it movie.T3 though had a number of issues, and I really think it's due to its director.
The story's fine though the TX felt contrived. Not because she's a woman, but more on her powers. It felt like they struggled to make her a threat despite the greatness of the almost invisible T-100.
Also the humor wasn't as clever as T2. AT all. Talk to the hand was already dated by 2003.

It's really difficult to conceive of a movie better than the first Terminator.
No, actually not with this film. That's the one hope I have because of the Ellison siblings controlling it all. They are actually pretty damn good filmmakers and have quite the resume. I will say that's the least of my worries.
Yeah, Alan Taylor didn't write the script for TDW, and the movie was heavily messed with in editing. From what I've read/heard, most of the problems with that movie aren't really his fault.
Agreed.
It'll likely be different in that when The Terminators, Kyle Reese, and possibly Future John Connor travel back in time (perhaps to a time earlier than the original 1984 date), they'll create a whole new timeline; an alternate reality, as in Abrams Star Trek.
And this makes sense, when you think back on he films.
Already, the current timeline is an alternate reality to the one before it. For example:
1. New date for Judgement Day
2. The way the Terminators and Skynet came to be is different (actually changes twice in the current timeline)
3. The future is different. The future we see in T1, T2, and even T3, is vastly different than that in Salvation. John even mentions this in Salvation, that the future is different that what Sarah told him about and prepared him for.
So yeah, the idea of "alternate realities" and a sort of loop effect in terms of new timelines being created is already in place. I just expect this film to explore it more. Perhaps, with John and Kyle looking for a way to close it.
I personally didn't really care for IM 3, it was really disappointing to me.@DA_Champion: It seems like Marvel Studios basically took over the film in post-production. They fired his composer, scheduled re-shoots to lighten it up, and pretty much edited it to their own liking. Of course it was never officially confirmed (even though I expect Taylor to open up about it some time in the future, when he's not supposed to sell Thor: TDW anymore), but these rumors came from the same source that claimed that the original composer had been fired... and in fact, a couple of days later it was confirmed and Brian Tyler was brought on board to do it.
To this day, I'm ****ing grateful that Marvel Stuidos more or less left Shane Black alone to make the movie he wanted on Iron Man 3. And I guess that's due to Robert Downey jr.'s star power. After the dissapointment of Iron Man 2 he probably made sure they wouldn't tinker with the director's vision this time around. THANK. EFFIN'. GOD.
Yeah, I know it's not very popular with fans (I'm one myself, but whatever). What I find sad about the whole uproar about Iron Man 3 is that Shane Black has always been very open to discuss the movie with the fans. But didn't even get a chance.
Personally, I think it's the only really worthwhile movie produced by the Marvel Studios together with Jon Favreau's Iron Man. The Avengers was kinda nice and cute, but that's pretty much about it. It plays too safe. It barely has a plot, or any bold or suprising (creative) decisions.
