I approve as well. Now, let's get Emilia so we can have the Clarkes as the Connors! :D

I really like that choice!

Things keep looking better and better for this film.

Now just get me Emilia and I'll be really happy lol.

So it's still unclear if this will be a complete reboot or doing it JJ's Star Trek style?,The news on casting seems like a reboot but then Arnold is still involved and playing a Terminator so I'm confused

Star Trek style timeline it seems but that's speculation.

Kind of ironic we first heard of Tom Hardy for John Connor and now it looks like it might be his Lawless brother.

I'm a bit confused how Clarke seems to be getting leading man roles in major franchises... he's a good actor, but he doesn't really seem to have that leading man appeal to me.

That I disagree with. I thought he was brilliant and really had a type of charisma in Zero Dark Thirty. He was actually my favorite character in that film.

I don't know why but I always confuse him with Joel Edgerton. I remember being happy one time because I though it was him that was cast but then I realized it was Edgerton. :funny: He's definitely more charismatic than Edgerton or Renner though.

I wonder if John Connor will be in a role like in Salvation or just an extended role than in T2 and 3's opening cameos

Yeah, I agree that he was really good in that but that was a different sort of film. I don't know, I'm just not sure about him become the next go-to guy for sci-fi action franchises.

Interesting choice, but I'm very disappointed that this is going to be a reboot.

I'll be honest... I think they should give up on this. We've already had two bad Terminator sequels in a row and I can't believe the guy who made the mess that was Thor 2 will do any better.

How does being cast in one sci-fi movie make Clarke the next go-to guy for sci-fi action franchises?

This, I agree with. The series should have ended with Terminator 2.

I very much disagree on Thor TDW being a mess and one film doesn't make a director a bad choice to direct another,Not like this one will actually be good or bad anyway since it's all opinions

I liked Thor 2 so I guess I can't complain if he's back to direct this movie.

I have no huge opinions of Clarke, I mean he looks more like a villain than a hero type to me but I'm not one to agree with casting just based on how an actor looks.

For some reason I'm rooting for Larson to score the Sarah Connor role. I haven't seen Short Term 12 (I thought she was very charming in Jump Street) but I've read great things about her performance and I like her look for Sarah more than Clarke's. I've only watched one or two episodes of Thrones so I'm not going to diss her acting or anything but I don't see leading lady. Again maybe I'm wrong and I'll completely change my mind when I get around to watching more of Thrones.

I think Emilia Clarke is fine as Daenerys, but I don't see what says "Sarah Connor" about her.

I don't know anything about Brie Larson.

Larson played the Ruxin's nanny on The League. She banged Pete and Rafi and then tried to get them to do a threesome with her.

That's all I know about her.

I only know Brie Larson from 21 Jump Street and I could see a little Sarah Connor when she was on H.F.S. :o

edit: oh right she was in The League too. lol

Thor is more of a screenplay problem.

Alan Taylor is an amazing director see Game of Thrones.

And it's going to happen, just like they will never stop making Batman films. So to me instead of doing the usual: "Don't do it" I go with "Hopefully they do it well".

As for Emilia she really is a great actress, and has that vulnerability about her, but underlying strength. She shows a lot of her strength in season 3 of GOT as Dany. I think even as an actress she has even more to offer.

I have to admit that Thor 2 was a mess weeks later when I saw Catching Fire; a movie that had tons of weight and emotion while still remained a tentpole and accessable for the masses.

But Taylor had issues with Marvel so it's one of those types of productions.

Out of the two candidates I'd go with Brie Larson for Sarah

Well, keep in mind that the copyright will revert back to Cameron in a few years. After that, no one will ever be able to touch the property again or do anything with it, without the creator's consent. But I agree. I love Terminator and I don't want to see the brand damaged with another misfire.
