Arnold Is Back for Terminator 5

Clu was spooky in Tron but i have faith they can master the technology (it didnt look bad..just freaky, but he was an antagonist so i didn't mind it) I'm just glad they'll have the actual actor on board this time and not just use an old sculpture

Now get Vin Diesel & The Rock as the bad guy Terminators then this would be a movie

Won't lie. This was the first thing to come to mind upon the news yesterday afternoon.

The real question is where there be another terminator factory scene where only one terminator chases after john? Terminator salvation was a mess from start to finish and all style and no substance.

I'd be more excited if it was James Cameron coming back

I hope to God that Bale stays away from this. His career took a hit with Terminator Salvation, mostly over the rant thing, but also because it was just a flat-out bad movie. So much backstory and yet the writers still didn't know how to make John Connor, the savior of humanity, into an interesting character. Pathetic.

Bale's much better than this crap... hope he doesn't feel compelled to try this again. The first two Terminator films were good. After that, they should have just let it die.

I totally forgot that Bale did a terminator movie. It was pretty forgettable. The Fighter definitely improved his career and he'll always be known as Batman so his stint on Terminator Salvation will be forgotten (if it already hasn't).

i think i'm in the minority that actually thought Terminator: Salvation was pretty decent. sure it could have been better, but it was a cool action film. i was actually looking forward in seeing where they would go with it.

but having Arnold back is pretty f-ing badass!! i wonder what kind of story they'll come up with and when it will take place. with Arnold coming back to the Terminator franchise, it makes me hopeful that he could also appear in a Predators sequel as well :awesome:

^^ I liked Terminator Salvation, but it could have been so much more. That's one of the reasons I think that Arnold being back is for the best.

I personally feel the series should continue with Kyle Reese as the lead.

Anton Yelchin knows better than to be Kyle Reese again.

Why not bring Michael Biehn back in some capacity?

because he looks nothing like he did in the first terminator:

He couldnt exactly play his younger self again looking like that. Here's a better idea, why not just leave the series alone and stop draining it of any last energy. It ended for me after T2 and anything after is just fan fiction somehow funded by a studio.

He didn't look that bad in TMHT. If they continue with the war period, he could play an older version of Reese.

This time there will be no Terminators. Just a voice threatening John on some speaker everywhere he goes when in reality nothing is being done to stop him & John can also just be randomly yelling

I'd love to see Bale and Yelchin come back. I loved them both in Salvation and switching directors and actors every time doesn't help.

Watch Arnold end up playing Connor or some wacky ****.

That wouldnt even be possible given this contrived timeline that has been beyond screwed up since T3 showed up. Reese in the original was a young soldier in his mid to late 20's and so was Sarah. In the given story there is no way to introduce an older kyle or sarah for that matter because the timeline just simply never allows it. Im hesitant as well to see an old terminator still being sent back in time.

The terminator series is essentially a clown at a birthday party who shows up and does 2 awesome tricks for the kids then after the party is over the birthday boy wants the clown to outdo his earlier performances and all he gets is a tired clown who is out of ideas and cant live up to what he originally did.

I loved Yelchin as Kyle Reese, TS should have been all about him and then having Connor show up at the end. The whole Marcus character was stupid and it didn't help that the writing was bad and Worthington is an awful actor. I enjoyed the last act of TS because everything about it was pretty awesome. I really like Justin Lin as a director and I think he has a real great eye for action so I'm interested to see where this is going to go especially with an old and fat Arnold coming back.

I'm surprised another Terminator movie is being made. What with Salvation flopping and the TV show being cancelled you'd think Hollywood would've realized that the public isn't interested in Terminator anymore.

the coolest moment was when fake arnold showed up

Man, this happened fast. But I'm glad it did. I didn't hate Salvation, but it wasn't the best movie. Atleast it was better than T3.

I hope they can at least bring back Shane Hurlbut for the cinematography. That footage looked amazing in TS.
