Arnold Schwarzenegger Returning For The Legend of Conan

I'm stoked that they seem to want to keep it a mostly serious film. I love the "in-joke" feel of Arnie's latest film escapades but Conan should steer clear of that.

Yeah, good point, like when they had them referring in a nonsensical way to the Camel gag from the first movie. It just sounded like they were making a movie there, and knew it, instead of it actually being Conan riding into town. Good jokes are fine, but they shouldn't take us out of the movie with silly winks to the camera.

No one can replace Basil Poledouris for the score. But Carlo Silotto would be the next best thing - his score for Nomad sounded a lot like a Poledouris score in places.

Poledouris is my favorite film score composer... in fact I'd say his score for the first Conan is perhaps the greatest of all time. Its absolutely breathtaking.

Yeah, Verhoeven is the Man. I will watch anything he is involved in.

I still hope that Milius will get an offer to direct. Even if he ends up being a consultant I'll be more than happy. Paul directing will be a dream. Him being anti-fascist and Milius being a fascist will make for an interesting dynamic for King Conan.

I really really hope this (Verhoeven) happens. Since Arnold is more involved in this project, it has many chances.

Well, imo Conan the Barbarian (1982) is one of the best movies ever made, so a sequel to that is more than welcome in my book.
