You've pretty much covered all the exclusive outlets in your post.

Target - 'A hero will rise' exclusive DVD
Walmart - 'Unmask the secrts behind the lizard' exclusive DVD/exclusive figurines
Amazon Japan - exclusive Amazing Spider-Man T-shirt/figurines
Bestbuy - Excluisve steelbook (Blu ray)

The word on the Target bonus disc is that it's only a 15 minute featurette.

I liked the scene where Connors comes to Peter's Apartment/House with the lab rat, the hacking scene, and the Billy scene. I also kind of liked the Help Me scene and the one with Aunt May with the eggs. Oh, and of course the Lair Scene, but that is OK if Ratha comes back for TASM2 or 3. Otherwise the other scenes being deleted were justified.

Web face understood it, so I'm pleased someone got what I meant besides thinking I'm just bashing the film again.

Ahh. Ok. I got what you mean now. I still don't agree with your assessment, but I understand your line of thinking :woot:

I found it funny that in one of the deleted scenes the SFX weren't finished yet and Connors looked like he Freddy's glove.

And that detail makes you wonder how early on they decided to cut those scenes from the film. Effects not finished and sound not properly edited tells me at least, that this was not a last minute cut.

Yup, the Lair Scene definitely wasn't last minute either. Connors had a green screen thing on his arm, and the Lizard didn't look as good/polished as the other scenes with him.

I can only hope the extras for the Blu ray ASM is better than the disgrace I saw for the Avengers. I bought the Avengers 3D blu ray and the lack of extras is a shocker, to 15 minutes clips, some deleted scenes (about 4 of them) a commentary and that IT. WTF?! Where's the effects reel? The trailers? Each stage of the production? I give SOny a hard time but they give better extras than 'that'.

I just don't get why you all want that extra stuff, if you like The Avengers movie itself, shouldn't that be enough. I love Lord of the Rings, but I couldn't stomach all of that extra crap they put of the DVD.

Not really "crap" if you're interested in BTS and extras on the films making and cast interviews, video diaries and basically anything about the film behind the camera.

No....it's not enough. It's entertaining to find out what made certain scenes pop out, or what was the inspiration of one thing or the other, or how they created a certain prop/vehicle/costume/whatever.

Yeah, but what's the point, the only thing that seems worthy is, if they actually talk about what's in store for the next film in detail. We already follow each Spider-Man movie frame by frame online, we have all the trailers, know how the visual effects work and have access to countless interviews.

It's like the studio says, let's sell them what they can get online for free. Should I mention, that we're watching all the deleted scenes before the DVD is even released.

Oh my ****.

Finally saw all the deleted scenes and liked every one of them except for Peter following Connors. Besides that one, I could see all of them making TAS-M WAY better.

Damn Sony. Good job ruining a film that could have very well been a phenomenal CBM in 2012.

I'm not referring to the deleted scenes though but more on the featurettes.

I am heavily into special effects and seeing as I no longer buy Cinefex then the blu ray is my only source of behind the scenes. If they are going to have a bare bones blu ray then they should charge a bare bones price. I have to say that the extra for the Avengers is possible the worst in my collection.

I'd bet money they are saving all the extras for the briefcase (all the movies in one collection) set.

Absolutely. I can take or leave deleted scenes but what I most want to see is the special effects reel.

It's quite good. I bought the iPad edition of Cinefex yesterday with the Dark Knight Rises and Amazing Spider-Man as the featured articles.

Within the article, the Image Progression Reels were all there. Very, very good stuff in there.

Hrrm...

OK so first of all, I think most people know already that I love ASM.

But let me say this:

**** you Sony!!! The deleted scenes case was even worse than I imagined! Except for Peter sneaking on Connors and the extended toilett scene, EVERY deleted scene should have been included. Hell, with all the deleted scenes in front of me, I can even say that I can live without the Lair scene if they have Ratha in the sequel but the other Connors scenes had absolutely no reason to be cut if you ask me. They were all great and needed. I loved the Billy scene. I loved the scene at Peter's door. I loved the freaky Connors in the sewers (which makes the whole "You beat me once, but you won't stop me again. I'm getting stronger everyday!" feel alot more in context).

What makes this even more annoying for me is that they cut it before finishing the effects, which means one can't just fan edit them into the movie and make it look good.

I know some people here get annoyed by the Director's Cut talk here but I have to say that Sony must make a Daredevil here and do it! I can see why they didn't for SM3 since they probably knew already that they wanted to move on with something new. There's no excuse to not have one for ASM though.

EDIT: OK I liked Uncle Ben's actual death more in the theatrical cut but I liked the build up for it more in the deleted scenes.

Might wanna edit this, like I have learned...

If there is enough demand then Sony will release a directors cut. They've done it before.

...HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

There's never going to be a directors cut because the deleted scenes were already included and because they just barely add to the movie.

We agree on the scene with Peter following Connors

That's the only deleted scene I wouldn't mind not seeing being inserted into the film.

The mods are watching you though with how many times you've been on probation, but they're mostly chill with stuff like that.

If there is enough demand then Sony will release a directors cut. They've done it before.

If there is enough demand we'll get a director's cut? Really?

So....where is Spider-Man 3.1?
