As I was just telling Thwip-o-rama, Sony's "strategy" angers me

Now, I don't hate Sony, in fact, I will get a ps3 eventually to play Resistence, MGS4 and some other games, but Jesus Christ, are they so f***ing insecure about their wonderful machine that they have to PAY companies to keep them quiet about releasing certain games on a console that's not the ps3?

Thwip, for some reason, you are one of the many people who , for reasons I don't get, give internet websites credibility. To me, even the best ones such as ign.com are still way below magazines when it comes to things like opinions and news. So I can understand why you are so cynical, being used to all the bull**** and false rumours that come from following said websites like they were worth a damn.

It would be slander and lies, in a magazine, to print half the stuff websites put out nowadays. It's because the internet is such a place of half truths that ubisoft doesn't take it seriously enough to pursue legal action. Print, however, is a different beast entirely. It has credibility. It cannot just make up ''announcments''. If it was a rumour, they would have said it was a rumour.

And that's why I have a problem with good people like you buying a ps3 AT ALL.

You buying it basically gives them license to do stuff like that, because its saying ''hey you can get away with this **** because ill buy your console anyway''. Its why Im not getting one.

I know it has some games you really want to play, but sometimes you just have to take a firm stand and sacrafice.

The print world is full of loses who couldn't get exclusives and get into shows if they were president of ea.

3. ONLINE GAMING ALSO WIDELY DEEMED A SUCCESS (AT LEAST CLOSE TO 'LIVE')
4. PRICE DROP, BY AT LEAST $100 (NOT VERY LIKELY WITHIN THE FIRST YEAR THOUGH)
5. BLU-RAY HAS "WON OUT", OR AT LEAST IS STILL NECK-&-NECK WITH HD-DVD
6. THE ABOVE IS REALLY ONLY A FACTOR IF I HAVEN'T ALREADY PICKED UP THE HD-DVD ADD-ON FOR '360', AND/OR HD-DVD/BLU-RAY IS STILL AN ISSUE (MEANING NO COMPROMISE WAS MADE, OR BOTH FAILED)
7. THERE ARE AT LEAST 10 EXCLUSIVES.......REAL EXCLUSIVES.......THAT I REALLY WANT TO PLAY, EITHER ALREADY OUT, OR ON THEIR WAY SOON.
8. THE GAMES ARE NO MORE THAN $60-$70, LIKE THE '360'.

OTHERWISE, I'LL BE CONTENT TO WAIT FOR 3-5 YEARS, AND PICK ONE UP FOR $200......OR LESS.
