It’s funny. Between this, David Bruckner doing The Blob and Michael Giacchino taking a crack at THEM!, there seems to be a concerted effort on WB’s part to harken back to creature features.

I’m kind of tickled that Variety changed “Nightmare Before Christmas director” to “Nightmare Before Christmas creator”.

I mean, it’s more accurate, but… why not just use one of the movies he did direct?

The initial mistake was incredibly embarrassing, but why in the world would you even reference that? Especially when Beetlejuice is way more pertinent to the presumable tone here and he's currently working on a sequel to it.

Yeah, this news literally hit an hour or two after the sequel poster dropped this morning. I don’t know why they wouldn’t have just gone with “Beetlejuice director Tim Burton”.
