Attention British Posters!!

There is a petition on the PM's website I think you should sign (it's brits and expats only) to award Alan Moore with an honour.

Mods I post this in the marvel comics thread for maximum attention if that's ok?

I don't actually hold much stock in this sort of thing and there is a school of thought that moore would probably refuse, but it's definitely something that would bring comics more media attention, can only be a good thing surely?

The petition isn't to alan moore to accept the award, it's to the PM to make the award. It has no influence on moore at all.

Alan Moore hates DC and Marvel for incredibly stupid reasons.

He refused to work for DC because of ******ed comments that the producers of V for Vendetta said. Last time I checked, Silver and the Wachoskis aren't DC and they never had. Also they won't give him the Watchmen, like DC would just give away the rights to their best selling trade paperback.

Moore's a man of great talent, but he's also an egotistical asshat.

From what I understand, the rights to Watchmen revert back to Alan Moore the minute they stop priting copies of it... THe problem is, it's the best selling Graphic Novel of all time so ti'll never stop printing.
