I was just told this by a fellow nerd,.... that the majority of HUMANITY prefer women regardless of color/height/size who have a .7 waist to hip ratio.

REALLY?

ARE WE THAT EASY?

When I get home I'll do my research,.. but I thought I'd start this on the way out the door,....

I Like Big Butts and I cannot Lie

I've always favoured waist-high, toothless mutes.

That's just me.

It doesn't matter with me

Not to be picky but I prefer .8 of .9 myself...any more than that is a waste.

Okay.

The hour-glass figure
Studies have shown that men prefer women with a waist to hip ratio of 0.7. You can calculate your own using this formula:

waist measurement ÷ hip measurement = ratio.

This seems to apply whatever the woman's overall weight. A group of researchers even compared this ratio with the average ratio of Miss America winners over the years. It was exactly the same. This ratio would seem to make sense as an indicator of a woman's reproductive health. When women age their waist tends to become less pronounced as they put on fat around the stomach. This coincides with them becoming less fertile.

Have you noticed how many married couples look quite similar? Studies have shown that more than anything we prefer somebody who looks just like we do. From a batch of individual photographs people can spot who are the couples with unnerving reliability.

So apparently,... IT'S TRUE.

Tsk,... and here I thought I had refined tastes in regards to a beautiful backside balanced by apple + breasts.

Go figure.

Ah,... My Appreciation to a round behind IS shared by part of the Male population,.. (whew!)

Abstract
Women’s waist-to-hip ratio (WHR) varies with age, and a lower WHR is associated with a higher
estrogen-to-androgen ratio and possibly higher fecundity, at least in some populations. Consequently,
it has been argued that selection has favored a universal male preference for a low female WHR. In
previous studies using frontal pictures, men in the United States preferred a low WHR of 0.7, but men
among Hadza hunter–gatherers and a few other small-scale societies preferred higher ratios. Unlike the
actual WHR of women, measured with a tape around the waist and the hips and buttocks, the WHR in
frontal pictures excludes the buttocks. Because frontal WHR gives only a partial picture, we used
profile views of women to measure men’s preferences for the profile WHR. Hadza men preferred a
lower profile WHR (more protruding buttocks) than American men. Since Hadza men preferred higher
frontal WHR but lower profile WHR, and since both contribute to the actual WHR, these results imply
there is less disparity between American and Hadza preferences for the actual WHR of real women.
We suggest men’s preferences vary with the geographic variation in the shape of women who have
wider hips in some populations and more protruding buttocks in others.

I'm not from Hadza,... But I know what I like,....

Glad to know I'm categorized as "attractive." I would think it would be even bigger, though...don't most men want a waist that could snap in half and a huge ass and hips? :o

those are the kind of misconceptions that make both men and women miserable.

well corsettes and bustiers would surport your theory.

Heh, I was being very sarcastic in that post, in case you couldn't tell :cwink:

To be serious though, I'm very glad that those aren't worn regularly anymore and doctors realized that corsettes were crushing women's organs haha. I think there are still plenty of men out there who fantasize about an hourglass shape that's unrealistic (hell, look at comic book females) and women who strive to achieve it, but people who are happiest are the ones who realize that a sexy body comes in many shapes and sizes.

the thing about comics is it an artform of exageration. real people with such proportions are just seen as freakish. there are early carvings that have even more exageration so it must be some weird part of our psyche that's not reflective of our actual desires.

I think a sexy body has more to do with confidence and how you carry yourself. Figure does come into it, sure, but if they've got a great body but are virtually stiff with self-awareness then that's a big turn off.

well body language is important but not at the expense of physical signs of fitness.

Well yeah, I said figure comes into it. A whale with an ego isn't gonna get me hot ;)

What I meant was that a woman with a good body but no confidence is like a Lamborghini with no engine.

Kinda :o

body mind soul, accept nothing less.

Its true, and I dont lie, but scientists give this girl best waist, no joke
