My theater was about 3/4 full, maybe around 250 people or so. One guy walked out with about 30 mins left, not sure what to make of that. Overall, the audience reaction was tepid. There was a smattering of laughs here and there, but for the most part people just sat there, watching in silence. As I left, I heard the same complaints about this film leaving the theater as I did with BvS.
"Boring."
"I didn't understand what was going on."
"Why did so and so do that...?"
And the biggest one of all...."Why was the Joker even in this movie, he didn't have anything to do with it..."
I think opening night audiences are always the best and most eager to have fun. I always see these movies in the afternoon the next day when the crowds are a little smaller.
