An ok flick with some nice moments, but to goofy for my taste and sadly the goosebump-level in this movie was pretty low, almost non-existent to be honest.

1. ……still waiting for something majestic.
2. Man of Steel
3. 1978/80
4. 2025

Horrendous film. Like actually a very poorly made film in general. Blown away that people thought this movie is fantastic. By far Gunn’s worst superhero film.

Very disappointed. Zero hope for DCU films moving forward. Only care about Reeves Batman moving forward.

This film left a lot to be desired. While it had some touching moments, overall it felt it was just lacking heart/spirit to me. Visuals weren't anything special, CGI was off in quite a few parts, and the overall tone was a bit too campy for my tastes, though I honestly may be skewed a bit by so many comics films being more serious over the past decade naturally. A few adjustments and it could be closer to the animated series, which still boggles me that the films just haven't translated a Dini and Timm approach to live action. Pretty average film in my eyes, and can't say I'm truly excited for any future DC films if this is the foundation. 6/10 for me.

To me, it was an average comic book movie about a character that had similar characteristics as Superman.

Christopher Reeve is still my Superman. Must say that I think even Tim Daly and George Newbern's portrayals of the character were a bit tougher. I don't mind Superman being occasionally naive, but Corenswet's Superman felt too naive at times. I hope his Superman matures into the next films or whatever his next DCU appearance might be.

I can understand others point of view and why they didn't like the tone, and it being kind of campy.

Small nitpicks here that I didn't mention before. The few times Superman gets held by the neck, those shots were terrible. Looked like artificial lighting, albeit, it didn't destroy the entire film. But have to say, those effects were cheap.

I have stated before that the film was pretty short. Too short. The plot to ruin Superman's reputation by the video message happened way too soon in the movie.
