I'll have to remember that and start watching it again.
anyway, yes, back on topic. Does anyone know when Heroes is going to be on yet?
Well - to answer my own question as to when the ratings period may start, the advent being in early Feb would more than likely coincide with the debut of Heroes.
Ditto for Lost, but their ads seem to have run a little sooner so I don't really know if they start at the same time or one begins a little ahead of the other.
I've also been seeing recent ads for Desperate Housewives (why they were not showcased alongside Heroes and Lost, I had wondered about), which leads me to think that the latter could probably debut at a later date.
But I don't pretend to know anything really otherwise.
And
mierde, after some thought, your fears that Heroes may not succeed were dispelled but I realise you may have been thinking about long term. After all, aforementioned shows like Alias and Battlestar and Stargate did have a strong start but fettered out in consecutive seasons.
But I reckon the best chances for success lie in viewership numbers: the higher they are, the more longevity it receives.
Then again of course, the nature of the game can change, and that's just an offshoot of the media industry. The key is maintenance, consistency and lateral thinking.
Right now, I'm assured Heroes will stick around for a good long while - quality, storytelling structure/originality and thematic narrative (social commentary of sorts) gives it an edge; gives it an overall resounding resonance to the audiences, and that tells me a lot about the finished product and its existence in the bigger scheme of things.
