'Save the cheerleader, save the world.' Heroes Season 1 on DVD

That's good news. I thought we would have to wait a lot longer for the DVD to come out. I'll be buying that. :D

Me too, probably be playing it as soon as I get home :woot:

Figured they go with the eclipse.

I don't know if I would buy this show on DVD. I loved it, no doubt, but I loved it cause it kept me wondering what was going to come next week. I guess it all hangs on the special features.

im definitely getting the dvds...i missed a bunch of eps in the beginning and am too lazy to download them. plus, i'm more a movie/tv series dvd collector.

So, 7 discs? I guess it will have a lot of extras. Correct me if I'm wrong, but in nbc you can watch all the episodes with commentaries, right? I think is a given those should be included in the DVDs.

if you have cable and you have the SciFi channel in your cable package, they rerun the Heroes episodes pretty regularly.

Okay, not the whole purpose. But the similarities are there. Peter is like Rogue. Claire is like Wolverine, minus the adamantium. That Molly kid is like Xavier and Jean, as is Parkman to an extent. Sylar apparently has powers like Iceman, Jean (telekinesis), sharp sense like Wolverine, and probably much more that he hasn't shown yet. Nathan-well Nathan can fly, not completely like X-Men since they didn't have the first person to fly. The government doesn't trust the heroes (mutants). Nikki is sorta like Jean, split personality once and awhile. D.L. is like Shadowcat can walk through walls. Hiro is sorta like Nightcrawler, minus the fact that nightcrawler can't time travel and is blue. Claire's birth mother is like Pyro.

Anyway. If we can watch each characters storyline seperately it would be great! I'd never have to be bored by Nikki again!

Do you know how many works of fiction feature characters with all of those abilities? It's not about the powers, it's about the characters. Hiro isn't defined by the fact that he can teleport, Claire isn't defined by the fact that she can heal, Nathan isn't defined by the fact that he can fly, and Peter isn't defined by the fact that he can do all of things; they're only defined by their character traits.
