Avatar: The Legend Of Korra

episode 5's conflict resolved extremely fast seemed rushed.

Well, the actual conflict is continuing in the next episode. Unless you mean the love triangle, which I don't think is even over yet.

I meant the triangle...and oh it defiantly is going to continue, but going from "everyone betray me" to everything is cool in less than a day and having the match turn around so fast seemed too fast.

Meh, I won't complain if they only revisit the triangle sparingly.. I assume bolin and Mako will be with korra in season 2? if so, there is plenty of time for it.

I think most of us are longtime fans. I remember most of us from the old Avatar The Last Airbender thread.

Alright, was just wondering. Wasn't on Hype back then so wasn't sure.

Stunning show, somehow they've managed to have even better fight choreography than TLA.

LoK does have some pretty crisp fights. TLA did get better as the seasons progressed though and Aang learned new elements and whatnot.

I wonder who Korra's non-bender friend of the group is going to be. Aang had Sokka, to go with Katara and Toph, Korra has two bending allies, and I don't think Asami is going to be much of a fighter, or a Korra ally after she steals Mako away ahaha. Though I could be wrong I suppose.

I'm pretty sure I joined SHH! for Spectacular Spider-Man, so Last Airbender was pretty much finished at that point.

I remember missing a big chunk of season 2, and a few season 3 episodes, of the original series when it originally aired. So I think I'm going to be watching this show like a hawk so that doesn't happen again.

Speaking of Spectacular Spider-Man, finding fanart of LOK by Sean Galloway made my day.

I just started re-watching the original series. Little more than Halfway through season 1. So good.

I still have one more hour to go. You guys are getting me excited.

That was pretty darn awesome. Chief Beifong is incredible. :hrt:

Amon is one smooth evil guy.

Did Amann just say supposably? Pretty awesome episode overall. I was thoroughly enjoying it, until a huge SpongeBob SquarePants advert popped on the screen. That was annoying.

Very cool seeing Korra and Bei-Fong kicking ass. Best action of the series so far. I just wish we could've seen Tenzin kicking some ass.

As soon as Beifong showed up at the council meeting and said Tenzin would be the one to run, I was like this is the other woman. Tenzin is such a player.

Tarrlok is up to something with that eye shift of his during the council meeting.

Lastly, the fight choreography of this show is always new and fun to watch. We finally get to see how metalbenders can fight. Was hoping Tenzin would join in to show how powerful he is.

Impressive episode, still surprised that they can show people being electrocuted like that. Have to admire the announcer / commentator guy for commentating even as he's about to be electrocuted.

Though one thing did bother me. Where was Tenzin during the big fight? Especially strange, since he is one of the only characters who can fly.

Did anyone else notice Sponge Bob laughing as Korra fell to her death? I saw that and it made me laugh pretty hard. Apparently it's a meme now.

I absolutely loved this episode! Amon is such a great bad guy. I was actually on the edge of my seat as Korra went toe to toe with the Lieutenant. I really wanted her to kick his ass. And Chief Bei Fong is voiced so well. I didn't expect her to be as prominent as she was in this episode. I loved how she referred to Korra as "kid".

I wonder if Tarlok will try to have her removed as Chief of Police since it was her idea and responsibility to keep the arena safe? Could make for some interesting conflict.

I also loved how creepy it was when everyone started putting on their masks. Such great climax. And do those hand-held devices chi block for a limited time or do they take away bending permanently? I wonder how that works.....how they created such a device? Or maybe it's just a way of knocking a bender unconscience by electrocuting them?

This episode was the turning point in this new series. And we got another flashback! I'm going to have to rewatch it to see what went on. All I remember is Toph whispering and pointing someone out (Yakone?). I just wish the flashback weren't the colours they are so we can see Aang's arrow more clearer lol.
