I'm pretty sure those gloves neutralize by electricity since it can stun a bender for a limited time, just like how that Lieutenant can use those sticks that also emit electricity. You don't have to be a skilled chi blocker to fight a bender head on now, just one of those gloves evens the playing field. So basically Amon has a way for anyone non-bender to join his cause no matter who they are.

I loved everything! The cabbage cart reference was an amazing nod and never actually thought it would make it in. Tenzin's moment of explaining to Korra why he left Lin Bei Fong for another woman to Korra like Aang could hear him through her was heartbreaking.

Oh and the Fire Ferrets' cosplayers! So Awesome!

It's been almost 11 hours since the episode ended and I'm still trying to wrap my head around everything that happened.

I feel like a jerk, but it was kind of satisfying to see Tahno and his Wolfbats getting utterly dominated by Amon and his troops. However, I thought it was a little unsettling the way the Wolfbats were dropped into the water as if they had just been killed.

As soon as Beifong showed up at the council meeting and said Tenzin would be the one to run, I was like this is the other woman. Tenzin is such a player.

Tarrlok is up to something with that eye shift of his during the council meeting.

Lastly, the fight choreography of this show is always new and fun to watch. We finally get to see how metalbenders can fight. Was hoping Tenzin would join in to show how powerful he is.

You are so freakin' right! Is there a show out there with better looking fights? Young Justice has some nice fights but this is on another level sometimes.

Sleepbending is prohibited, you hear?!

It wasn't my fault. Yesterday I woke up at 8am, took 3 trains and 2 subways to get back to my dorm for a final, then took a 3 hour nap and couldn't fall asleep until 4am :csad:

Oh how i love my DVR

I recorded it at home and have SlingBox. Unfortunately, it's standard definition and DirecTV recently changed their guide to be only HD compliant, I can't see the guide or list of recorded shows when I press the button to see them. So if I want to watch it I have to have my parents go to the TV and start it for me. Which I will do Monday.

Young Justice just has nice fights? The action is Young Justice is spectacular, and so is the action in Legend of Korra. I wouldn't say it's on another level though... at least not yet.

LOL, that's beautiful!:funny: I wish I would have recorded the show today. I saw it on the internet, without the Spongebob ad.

I'd say this was definitely the right moment to laugh though, I know I was.

The pro bending commentator/recap guy has become my favorite character now.

"He's coming right at me, folks!"

Lol at broadcasting his assault.

LoK is turning out brilliantly so far. I wish we were getting more than 26 episodes (which is still possible, I suppose). If not, I hope they leave room for another series in the future.

Considering the top notch quality of animation I'm not sure if more than 26 can work into the creative team's budget. Not to say I don't agree with you but I think its really up to the fellows above Bryan and Mike if another season is...and I hate this word..."profitable".

Did anyone catch Mako's cheeky wink after he floored Tahno? Damn that boy is a tease.

Ermm...I'm straight by the way. Not that there's anything...Ok never mind then.

Considering that its been doing great in ratings, it will probably be back for another season after all they spent on promoting it.

He would make a great war journalist.

Impressive episode, still surprised that they can show people being electrocuted like that. Have to admire the announcer / commentator guy for commentating even as he's about to be electrocuted.

Though one thing did bother me. Where was Tenzin during the big fight? Especially strange, since he is one of the only characters who can fly.

Seems like he got the worst of the electrocuting. That's the only explanation I have really.

Glad they picked up the pace after last week's change of pace. Business is about to pick up in Republic City. Can't wait.

Wow what a great episode! My heart was racing during the fight at the end and it was nice too see some metalbending action. I just hope we'll see more than just them throwing wires around though.

Don't feel like a jerk, I'm pro-benders obviously, but they deserved it. They cheated plus he was a complete ass lol.

Didn't have any problem with the way Amon just threw em over. How else would you have had the guy who wants to commit Bender-Genocide put them in the water?

That's actually one thing I like about the entire Avatar series(Last Airbender and Legend of Korra). It's a kids show, and they don't show blood or stuff like that, but they make no bones about it. The issues in the Avatar world are dark. War, people dying, cult leader wanting to destroy an entire group of people (benders in general). But it nails the funny dynamic to a T to keep things light and not overload the viewers with the heavy handed stuff they're dealing with. It keeps me watching and I'm an adult.

I couldn't bear to think how watered down this recent episode would have been if Disney were handling it. They'd just as soon have little fat angel and devil Amon's on his shoulder debating if he should really take away the wolfbats bending(ala the horrible USM show)

Back to the this past episode though. I though Bolin talking to pabu with the clicks and clucks was funny.

And it was great to see Chief Beifong get down to business and not just snarl at Korra and Tenzin. I do not want to make that woman angry. I would love to see Toph and Lin go at it in their primes and see which one is better.

That's what's so great about this show, they don't show blood or have cursing and what not so the kids can enjoy it, but it's still a very serious show that adults can watch. The humor is top notch and not overly childish and the fight scenes are spectacular. I am over 20 years old and I'm not ashamed to say that the original series is one of my all time fav shows, and this one is shaping up really nicely as well.
