Infinity War Avengers 5?

Avengers 5? All their contracts are over with Avengers 4, so no need to bring back the OG except maybe 1 or 2 in a mentor role. The team will basically be different.
Whoops. Sorry. I'm commenting in numerous topics at the moment (one of which is the Infinity War Sequel speculation. Getting my topics all muddled up.

My Avengers lineup would be

Black Panther
Captain Marvel
Spider Man
Bucky
Sam
Scarlet Witch
Ant Man & Wasp
Strange
Thor
Vision
Hulk

They are secondary characters who have been around phase 1 or 2. Without Cap and Tony, I don't really see War Machine, Bucky and Falcon being relevant to the team.

This would be their time to Shine.

though I'm sure folks will want the newer (more well known characters) to shine.

Would the Wasp really have a big role in the Avengers going forward?

I think she can because of the other members and her personality.
T'Challa has a whole country to run as king. He can't monitor everything with the Avengers.

Danvers possibly has to watch the universe for threats.

Spider-Man is still young and has never really been the leader of the Avengers. Popular character and great asset to the team.

Strange is the Sorcerer Supreme he must watch over dimensions. Even though he didn't know Thanos. The guy is busy.

Scott learned everything from Hope. She had the ability to control the ants and could have been a hero already. Hank was being protective of her. She does not have to watch over any business, country, dimensions.

I can imagine it being much, much longer.
They have the F4 and X properties back now.
They can build that universe up, as the OG Avengers ride off into the sunset....
and then when some major, major, multi-verse threat comes along and after many phases of no Avengers the hype will be at fever pitch for A5 with Xmen, F4 and Avengers team up

2022 or 2023 would make more sense for Avengers 5 to be released

I have a feeling that 'Avengers 5' will establish a core team. Shouldn't be more than 6 Avengers. I imagine the core would be:

Black Panther
Captain Marvel
Spider-Man
Doctor Strange
Ant-Man
Wasp

With possibly Spider-Man leaving the team to go solo for some reason, to make room for another hero. I'd like to see more Scarlet Witch and Vision, but that doesn't seem likely. I think Falcon and War Machine are definitely on the way to retiring to civilian roles. Winter Soldier-- well, we'll see about A4. Don't think they'll kill him but also don't know if he has a role as an Avenger.

Could definitely see a 'Agents of SHIELD' movie with Falcon, WM, Winter Soldier and Widow, though

Considering it will be like May as always I say 2024. 5 years is good enough after having two major Avenger movies within a year of each other. We will get solos of all these characters to help build, maybe some will have some team ups or interactions like Strange and Thor.

Avenger movies are usually suppose to be big universe threats.

Yup I think it'll end up looking something like this with maybe Valkyrie as well, and Shuri as the team's tech whizz.

Well they forsure would not call it that haha. People would avoid it thinking the no names from the show were involved.

That' a fair point raised by legendkillin up there; some of these Avengers aren't completely practical; T'Challa is the King of a Country, both Doctor Strange is the Sorcerer Supreme. It's not like these characters [should be?] invested in stepping out every time the Earth comes under threat; at least (in the case of the latter) it's under a mystical threat of some kind.

Thus, based on that, the team needs to be more ... mobile; a group of people that don't have any other (specific) obligation other than being an Avenger, so I think it'll come down to a select few; maybe six or seven, of which will include both Scott & Hope, in addition to Wanda (if she survives Avengers 4 and doesn't go training with Strange), a mix of (depending on survival) Sam, Rhodes & Bucky, and Carol in the lead.

Characters like Black Panther and Doctor Strange may feature, but I'm not fully expecting them to become [active] Avengers - just because they were in the comics, they don't need to be in the MCU, especially when we've got so many more characters to yet introduce.

I would also agree with the concept that we're not likely going to see another Avengers film anytime soon; instead I think we'll get (kind of) ensemble films; maybe Bucky in Black Panther 2, or Wanda in Doctor Strange 2, or Hawkeye/Falcon in Ant Man 3, that sort of thing.

will we see the likes of Falcon/War Machine/Bucky/SW/Hope in supporting roles in Avengers films going forward or might they get a tad bigger role going forward?

or are we due to see the first 4 finish with A4?

By the time Avengers 5 out, I hope Kamala Khan will be on the roster. She is one of my top 3 Marvel characters.

With the Avengers is become some kind of celebrity in MCU, it is interesting to tell a story about one of Avengers fan girl like Kamala, suddenly got the power like her idol, and earn her place and be really joining the team.

If not in Avengers 5, the Avengers 6 or 7, haha

As long as we get good movie's they could put out an avenger film every other year.

We'd run out of villains if we got one every other year.
