Double lag
Ok, mediocre start, but I have to say Roger Craig Smith gave Captain America my favorite voice for the character

Iron Man sounds so young. Hulk still sounds too smart, regardless of what he sounded like in the last show.

Roger Craig Smith is brilliant.

I imagine they cast Smith because he sounds like Chris Evans - and it works.

Agreed, although purely in the power perspective. I want him to be more present than he was in the second season and have more screen time than in TA if anything.

Oh no I meant in power display and being the teams "go to guy", I definately want him to be around more. I like how important to the team he was in the 2nd season, he wasn't treated like just another member.

I'll be giving this a chance, but it would have to be an absolutely amazing show to top what EMH gave us. On the topic of Thor for EMH, he was clearly the team's go-to guy. I particularly liked this exchange from the series finale:

Spider-Man: "Why aren't you freaking out!? It's the end of the world!"
Captain America: "Because I hear it."
Spider-Man: "Hear what?"
Captain America: "Thunder."

Agreed, as a matter of fact that same exchange is in my signature. :woot:

I'd also include the Ultron episode, that was awesome. In it, Ultron waits until his robo-avengers are fully assembled before they take on Thor, and it really takes all of them combined to take him down. And after he's captured, Ultron says something about how Thor was the biggest threat. Loved how Cap was so smart in this episode too.

Overall, the characterization of Thor in season 2 was great. He was clearly the most powerful.

Yeah that was awesome episode for Thor, I don't know how I managed to forget about that. It was also pretty cool how Thor was the one who finished Ultron off for good by knocking his head off.

Thor was pretty badass the first time they fought Ultron, he was the only one who could go toe to toe with him.

I watched it. I actually think it was worse than Ultimate Spider-Man. The only character I could tolerate was Hawkeye.

RCS sounds better imo

I thought the first episode of Earth Mightiest Heroes was rough on first view, took me a second view after the season came to an end to appreciate it

Anybody else watch the 720p version and have it switch from full frame to letterboxed constantly?

I think they used that effect, to make certain moments look more dramatic. I have no problem with that. The 2003 Turtles cartoon did that too.

I'll just repost what I said in the TV forum:

Caught the first-ep "preview" on iTunes. My verdict is "eh, I'll watch a little while longer." It has the potential to be fun, if no where near on "EMH"'s level. The dialogue is lazy, and I was rather confused as to Falcon's roll. So, he's a SHIELD trainee, who doesn't have a suit or powers or anything until he basically picks one during the episode, yet Stark's been grooming him to be an Avenger?

My other quibble is the animation seems choppy in many places. Much as I treasure my memories of watching the old X-Men and Spider-Man cartoons in the early 90s, I did appreciate the strides made in animation since then. Maybe I'm spoiled, because I loved how "EMH" looked, but this just seems like a step backward.

That said, the action sequences are reasonably fun, and I'm enough of an Avengers fanboy to give it a slightly longer probationary period. I'm still not sold on it being a worthwhile replacement, though.

It's not great. I mean, it's not a hell of a lot worse than EMH, and it's probably slightly better than Ultimate Spider-Man.

Oh well. Great cartoons are few and far between. Next up: Beware the Batman!

Look at this QUALITY:

Anyone else think it was a bit dodgy that Falcon was presumed to have the War Machine armor...?

The good thing about it, it was a confirmation this is no continuation Earth's Mightiest Marvel series

Not according to them.

Marvel’s Press Call on Avengers Assemble

- Avengers Assemble was done with Earth’s Mightiest Heroes in mind, making it like time has passed since the last show

Yet we have Falcon as a Trainee, even though he was already part of the team that attacked the Avengers in EMH. Loeb and his team really just are a bunch of dumbasses.

That's why their word is obsolete

Ahem... I could understand your outraged monologue until you dropped this bomb.
Have you seen TT Go?
They cancelled YJ and replaced it with a bad Powepuf Girls wannabe.

DC isn't any better than Marvel when it comes to making these horrible decisions.
It's one of the most annoying shows I saw in years

I walked away completely embarrassed at myself for watching it after seeing the first episode... never again...

I found it to be just plain stupid...
