Bad movies you really enjoy

Waterworld is one of my guilty pleasures.

I also enjoyed:

The A-Team Remake
I Spit on Your Grave franchise
Dracula Untold.
Edge of Tomorrow

I thought Edge of Tomorrow was basically universally praised by people who actually saw it.

This one is considered to be a good one.
Is this one of the cases of another movie with the same name?

No it just under performed at the b.o and most ppl had no interest in seeing it. I was one, until i actually watched it.

I really enjoy the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movies. I'll always have a soft spot for the second one.

I also thought the Fantastic Four reboot wasn't nearly as bad as people made it out to be. Sure it was F4 in name only, but other than that it was okay. I guess because i dropped my expectations down as low as humanely possible it was better than expected.

I was honestly OK with Fant4stic up until that inexplicable time jump in the narrative. Had they had a more natural, less jarring progression of the narrative I think the film could have been perfectly watchable.

I watched it out of morbid curiosity and it was just bad all around imo. Boring af. I got to the time jump point and I just couldn't continue.

That's how i felt about Ghost Rider 2, which to date is proabably one the worst movies i've ever seen, only seconded by Spring Breakers.

Since I can not pick one movie I will do you one better.
I am from the generation of 80's action movies & I would say that whole genre.
I will list the actors with honorable mentions of their bad movies.
Sylvester Stallone : Lock Up or Cobra
Arnold Schwarzenegger : Commando or Running Man
Van Damme :Lionheart or Death Warrant
Chuck Norris :Ocatagon or Invasion USA
Dolph Lundgren : Punisher or Red Scorpion

Just looked it up out of curiosity. IMDB user rating of 7.9. Rotten Tomatoes critic score 90% and audience score 90%. Based on those numbers, it looks like at least most people consider it a good movie (even though RT score means nothing on how much I will enjoy or look forward to a movie).

yeah edge of tomorrow has a 90% on RT how is that seen as a bad movie lol

Okay guys, i got it already…jeez.

I absolutely love Freddy vs Jason. It's everything I could ask for.

A grand majority of horror movies that I like, like Sinister, tend to get awful scores.

Man of Steel, Apocalypse, BvS, and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 have awful scores, yet I enjoyed them all.

I don't think Phantom Menace and Revenge of the Sith are too bad, I enjoyed them, especially Ep. 3. Ep 2 is utter trash though.

Green Lantern
Xanadu
Megaforce
Superman III( him fighjtning himself is still bad ass!)
Almost any Godzilla Flick Like Godzilla vs Megalon
Shakes the Clown
Starship troopers ( i dont know what it with that flick its so bad its good!

Hawk the Slayer
Wow you are one of the few people on plant earth who has seen that flick i know of!

While I agree it doesn't belong in this thread, you can count me among the non-universal minority who saw Edge of Tomorrow and didn't like it.

Does it count if a movie is intentionally hammy and B-grade? Starship Troopers is a really clever movie, purposely presented in a ridiculous style for the sake of satire. It's almost like it's so good it's bad and all the way back around to good again.

I've confused myself now, thanks Vulcan!!! :cmad:

I like Idle Hands, especially for Kelly Monaco's scene. ;)

I like Quantum of Solace too. It's a much easier watch than Spectre.

I like QoS as well. It had a lot to live up to on the heels of Casino Royale, but I think it's a good movie on it's own. Spectre is trash.

I like X-Men: The Last Stand quite a bit. It's a mess, and objectively a really bad movie, but I think it's a fun watch.

I like QOS as a fourth act of CR. QOS doesnt play nearly as well as its own film.
