Bad Robot/Jonathan Nolan Bringing "Westworld" to HBO - Part 1

Holy ****... And that needle drop at the end...

You'd think I'd love a Pyramid Song orchestral cover to finish the season... but they lost me on the plot two episodes ago and;

The Bear gave us the hardest season finale final scene soundtrack'd with Let Down and just on Friday, For All Mankind dropped in Everything In Its Right Place to show it's s4 time jump.

Westworld is being outdone in the Radiohead department.

That was pretty terrible.
...like I get "what is happening/happened" but I have to put too much effort into understanding it all.

This isn't confusing with extensive worth ala Mr. Robot. This is feeling confusing with little worth... sadly.

So if I’m understanding correctly, season 5 will focus on
whether or not human consciousness is fit to be uploaded into the Sublime. Since they can’t take to host bodies, perhaps they can take to a virtual world. And if that’s the case, I wonder if that ties into the season 2 post credit scene.

Approximately 56.03% of my enjoyment of the show is just Person of Interest feelings. :o

I thought season 4 was a solid improvement on the third. Seems it will never reach the quality of the first run, but there was a welcome return to the existential horror of life with this technology. Kinda fell apart at the end, but I liked and recognised the characters which I felt I had lost last year.

Negotiations have to be about cost. I can see this taking a six episode final season in order to not get a big budget cut.

Surprising...but at the same time, I don't think the series has reached the heights that it did in that first incredible season. It really felt like there was one more season to go, so that's unfortunate.
I agree. It peaked with season one but they still should have just let them end it with one more to go.

They should have let it have one last season, especially if the cancellation wasn't for budget reasons like Deadline reports. I'll be even more frustrated if it affects Sphere and The Son that Kilter Films was going to produce for HBO.

A little sad what has happened to Team Nolan (outside of Chris himself) post-TDKRises.

WestWorld was so/so after s2...
Transcendence was trash...
Reminiscence was trash...
Hans Zimmer only legendary score was DUNE [excluding Nolan's Interstellar]...
No one is talking about or watching The Peripheral...

Just a bit crazy after the Batman trilogy highs alongside The Prestige/Inception for those 'related' and all.

Person of Interest is great. The Peripheral has been #1 on Prime Video since it premiered two weeks ago.

Person of Interest is great.

I only allow myself one cable drama (well 45min/episode) every 10 years to watch... and Elementary filled that hole.

They all always go on for too long, too much filler every season, and the one's I enjoyed in the early 2000's usually got cancelled too early.

Thank goodness. It was so hard forcing myself to sit through S4 and I’d rather they take that money and put it towards newer content.

Not that surprised.

Writing went south after Season 1.

Nothing happened in Season 4, I was trying really hard to not stay bored throughout those drawn out episodes.

Yeah, like more Game of Thrones spin-offs. :o
The problem is the cancelled it exactly because they're focusing on safer choices with already established content and pre-existing franchises. Original shows that cost a dime will soon become extinct in WBD. The all mighty Disney model.

I mean House of the Dragon has been better than the last three seasons of Westworld.
