No way Walt poisoned the kid.
Yeah I highly doubt that Walt did that, and if he did.....
I don't know. Hear me out at least. I mean, Walt has got to do some hardcore stuff if he's going to win against Gus.
The season finale is supposed to end with a purely visual shot that will have viewers saying "OMG, no!"...so maybe it's the poisonous cigarette in Walt's house/car/possession. If the kid dies, it would definitely have that effect. Even Cranston said after playing Walter White for four years, he didn't see the end coming. So maybe Walt does sink to that level, murders a kid to win against Gus, because he wins Jesse back and gets him on his side.
It makes sense to me, but just a theory.
Honestly, I have no idea where this show can go. The finale is really starting to feel like the series is ending. If they are going to show Walt in this light, damn, damn and damn.
16 more episodes left after this season, so, it's pretty crazy and a testament to the writers. They're all demi-gods.
True. It's possible that Walt did it, but as Walt himself said, at what point would he do it? The schedules don't match.
Maybe I'm blinded by Cranston's recent interview
Yeah, but Walt had his reasons for not helping Jane. He was trying to help Jesse. He knew she was a bad influence.
Is it next Sunday, yet? I'm with Soapy, although I think (sadface) that Walt did the deed, I sure as hell hope not.
So, you're saying Walt did something truly terrible to justify his plan? I know Walt cares deeply for Jesse, but considering his situation, and the threats to his family, Walt needs Gus dead. In Walt's current view, family > Jesse.
No doubt he did it. It also explains why Gus magically turns away from his vehicle. I think he was surprised by Jesse saying that Brock was poisoned and he was thinking its purpose. Gus has always been many steps ahead of Walt so it's hardly unbelievable for him to have figured out that the poison was so Walt could win back Jesse and distract Gus. I think Gus was on to that, which is why he doesn't approach his vehicle.
So it explains that all-knowingness we see Gus have at the end believably. After all, Gus would start theorizing the second Jesse tells him Brock was poisoned. I think so anyway.
On that matter, all I said was that the schedules don't match. At what point would he do it?
But what hasn't been argued is the scheduling. At what point would Walter poison the kid? That's the big question that needs to be answered in order to support the other side. We know how Gus could have done it... when Jesse was cooking.
We don't know how much time he had between the visit with Saul and his time alone in the house.
