Yeah, in the park, not decommissioned.

I bet you one of the characters in the control room turns out to be a robot.

I thought that Ms Cullen might be a robot with the way Ford addressed and silenced her before the interrogation of Dolores' father/Former Professor.

It was sort of an off feeling moment.

Well to be fair the shows premise is a bit of a cliche, though I see your point.

As to your second point, that would be part of the psychology of it all. Look how the creator interacts with his "children". He clearly cares for them, and yet they are raped and murdered every single day.

Yeah it's certainly a distinct possibility. I'm not dismissing the possibility, as you said it would make for a very interesting psychology.

I also think that Ms Cullen's smoking could be a bit of misdirection making you think that she's human and vunerable to our vices, when she's actually displaying a residiual behaviour of someone programmed to inhabit the Old West where almost everyone was a smoker.

But that does not exclude her from being the oldest period. Remember, they update them.

I really want to see more of Michael Wincotts Wild Bill style character while we're on the subject of the old models.

That was one of my favorite scenes of the pilot. Was not expecting that.

My favorite scene was the bar robbery. Grade A western fun with a funny unexpected ending. Had an almost Quentin Tarrantino vibe to it. And when [blackout]the desperado's neck exploded midspeech and the fancy guest comes on screen acting like a kid that had just won a prize I lost it.[/blackout] :funny:

I want to wife up Angela Sarafyan ...... :wow::wow::wow::wow:

This show reminded me of Carnivale with how deep and disturbing the plot was. Hope it lasts longer, such a strong first episode

this is bound to get interesting with theories :o

After rewatching the pilot Im convinced that Ms Cullen is a robot. The way Jeffrey Wright looks at her expression and asks about being able to capture and record it and share it with his team.

Also when shes asked by her colleague the head of story when she gets to rotate home she avoids thr question and then corrects his grammar the way a spell check would.

Also upon rewatch its clear that Dolores' father has memories of his previous configuration early in the episode. He mentions his old days as a lawman, when we find out later that his model was in fact the former sheriff and he says those days ended when he became her father which is completely literal as his configuration actually changed to that.

Really clever writing. I think this is going to be a series wherr every episode benefits from a rewatch.

interesting. i thought that this was more about him. :)

the milk .was that part of the program or did the robot have a glitch and he remembered how he was made ? the white liquid?

I assumed it was something to do with how they're made... he remembered it somehow or something like that

That was great. The writer's reaction was also great.

I just can't really stop thinking about this show. It's going to be a long wait until Sunday...

Very strong pilot, it's full of hooks to make you want to keep watching even if the episode itself was a bit setup heavy. The potential is there for some very rich sci-fi. I hope the ratings stay up...I'm already hoping to spend a lot of time exploring this world.

Everybody is a robot, the human race is extinct. Theyre just making more of their own for some reason.

Wrap your brain around that one.
