Really liked the finale, but I'm just frustrated we didn't find out what happened to [BLACKOUT]Hemsworth the Elder or Elsie. If she's really dead, why haven't they confirmed it?[/BLACKOUT]

We saw her get killed by Bernard in flashback.

I guess, in this show, that's not a straight answer but it might be safe. No clue on on the other.

I'm madder we didn't get the triumphant return of Old Bill/Michael Wincott.

I was so sure he'd have some role in Ford's "death".

btw, love the Exit for a Film they used in the end.

There's been an update to the Delos site that eventually leads to a voice message from Elsie, which would suggest that she's still alive. Theory seems to be that she's the one that sent that tribe to get Stubbs, for whatever reason. Maybe they're on Ford's side or something. Here's the thread about it on Reddit

Yeah Elsie is
alive :)

Weird that Joy and Nolan would go and say we will have our questions answered when Abernathy, Elsie and Stubbs weren't in episode and who knows what happened to
Logan

They seemed to have hinted at Elsie having a thing for Clementine in ep.1.

I wonder if something got scrapped or left for a second season.

so ford could or couldn't be dead - that could've been a host.

secondly, thought this was brilliantly acted but can't help getting cylon vs. human battlestar galactica vibes...just from the cylon POV.

You don't consider him an evil villain?
He allowed his robots to murder a bunch of humans, and didn't care that they may destroy humanity. He's an insane villain.

From the robot perspective he isn't. He waited for them to be able to be free. And I think you are supposed to root for the hosts, at least this was Nolan's idea here.

I think it's debatable on whether he's a villain or not. Depends on what POV you are looking at and I think in the case of the hosts, he's not a villain. Not to mention that with the exception of maybe one or two, the humans are portrayed as downright despicable in this show.

Yes. There's a theory that the [BLACKOUT]host Ford is creating is one of him so either the one Dolores shot was a host or if it's the human Ford them we might see a host Ford next season. I sure hope so as Hopkins was incredible.[/BLACKOUT]

Interesting season finale. I dont like it but i also dont hate it. I think after years people will hate season 1. I think there is no way this ages well. I think if everyone would rewatch season 1 this week at least HALF would not like it. I bet that a lot forgot what happened durring this season. I think this has a lot to do with the break they had to plan for future season. I think at that time they changed what season 1 will be. If you are Bay and you make movies like transformers you can joke that logic doesnt matter. I dont understand how some here dont care about the rules set up by Joy and Nolan for WW. It doesnt make sense

The Meave story is a 100% status quo

****ing hell... that was a ride and a half.

Ford ain't gone...I think it's rather obvious that he was building himself in the basement he had Theresa killed in... now the question is, was that Human-Ford that Dolores shot or Host-Ford? That's the biggest question for me right now.

Stubbs ain't gone either, same for Elsie. I think she's alive somewhere and that she had Stubbs grabbed because she could see what was coming and wanted him alive.

bloody hell Shorter-Armistise is a badass, Very intrigued as to why she got the ACS, that to me implies that she's got a bigger role to come in everything than we've been lead to believe.

Great finale. Need to watch it again as some things to digest.

Great music too - Radiohead and Muse.

i am not trying to be sarcastic. but what kind of storytelling is this where noone can die for real. where very human that dies can be a robot . or can be replaced with a robot.

I'm having a dumb moment... what's
ACS
?

yeah, ACS is After Credit Scene... i'm lazy (and Hype is a bit buggy on my laptop) so I shortened it.

Dark B... You have a good point. I just think with what we've been shown so far, that that is what's happened.

There was Radiohead but there was no Muse?

ohhh i belive that this is happening. But right now i dont like it. :woot:

Season 2 in 2018. thats a loooooooooooooong time.

i am aware that she was programmed to go outside of ww on the train and that going back means that she is ignoring the ''escape'' plan. that she goes back because of her host daughter.

When Hale walks into Ford's office to tell him he's being pushed out, his piano player is playing Muse's Collateral Damage. Quite apt. It itself is based on Chopin Nocturne Op. 9 No. 2, but the one in the show seems to be played in the same key and style as Muses's version, and given that Nolan seems to feature other similar music from Radiohead and Soundgarden ...... I'd say he based it on theirs rather than the classical one.

Not sure the FFS bit is okay on here... didn't think we could post swearing in videos or images...

the best part....the best

That moment got a huge laugh from my gf and I. It almost seemed improvised.

One thing I really loved about this episode was how well it juggled tone. As per usual, you had a lot of intrigue and heavy, dramatic stuff. But we still got moments of levity. The whole escape sequence was just pure unadulterated fun, badass action- a real sci-fi adrenaline rush.

What I liked most about this episode was to me, it really teased at how much room there is for this show to grow and it allows Season 1 to stand on its own at the same time.

For those that had problems with this episode/season, I'd be curious to hear in more detail where the show is breaking its own rules. I haven't caught anything too egregious in that regard, but the show throws a lot at you and it's possible I missed something.
