Barbarella or Sin City 2?

I can't really see the attraction in doing a Barbarella remake, especially over Sin City

This absolute and complete bull****! :cmad:

Business is business and he's still getting a paycheck off of it. He's not losing either property in the long run.

Especially considering if Barbarella doesn't obtain box office success like I think it won't than it will seriously hinder Rodriguez's future projects, Grindhouse didn't help either.

The only way Barbarella was going to be any good was to have a guy like Rodriguez do it.

Rodriguez is a good film maker who has vison and Grindhouse was very good. People today just don't like that kind of cinema.

I do think SC2 should have come first though... they are waiting way too long to get rolling. The public is going to forget hype of the first film.

I don't like how they keep pushing Sin City 2 back and back and back... :cmad:

They just ****ed with the wrong Canadian.

Me neither. It's arguably his biggest critical hit and people have been anticipating the sequel for some time now.

Does Jessica Alba Know Who Barbarella Will Be?

Okay, here’s the deal. There truly might be nothing to this, but you never know, so here we go with the facts as I know them. I chatted for a bit with Jessica Alba yesterday (stop drooling, you look like an idiot) and we were talking about her action chops as an actress. Basically, she said she really wants to do another big action role, so I threw out “Barbarella” as a possibility. She paused and simply said, “Isn’t that going to Rose? I think it is.”
So what have we learned from this? Probably nothing. Jessica Alba has most likely read, like we all have, that Robert Rodriguez may be considering his “Planet Terror” star for the role.
Or maybe Alba’s got some inside info thanks to her relationship with Rodriguez? Bottom line? I don’t know. Just something to think about. At the very least, you tell us what you think. Who should be Barbarella: Alba, McGowan, Estelle Getty? The floor is yours.

I think he should give up with barbarella, it's a stupid project anyway. I find the old film version to be unique and of it's own merits(not really a fan though), but I can respect in a way that doesn't need the character to grace the screen again.

Sin City: A Dame to kill for is a great story that should be put on screen.

Rob Rod is just making Barbarella to get his new ****e to be naked again on screen. That and so he can show us how quickly he can film it while he gets 25 film credits because he's the one man show, and just wait till you see the special effects for the film from the oscar winning talented ILM/WETA level "Troublemaker FX" which consists of Rob and 5 special effects rotoscopers.

Thank god Jessica's not doing it......

I'm doubting it as well.

At least we have the first one.:yellow:

My bet is Frank Miller will just end up directing this himself after "The Spirit." Rob has lost it, "Barbarella" and this rumored talk of directing "The Jetsons" is bull****. I WANT MY ****ING "SIN CITY 2" MOVIE! "Grindhouse" was incredibly flawed and it blew. The mock-fake-trailers were great, but the movies themselves---Rob's was way too over-the-top and Tarentino should've lost the hokey dialogue and namedropping and movie-dropping of old actors and old car movies. The only things that made the two movies worthwhile was Rose McGowan, the other babes, and Kurt Russell being a badass as Stunt Man Mike. Otherwise, "Grindhouse" blew.

You hear me Mr. Rodriguez make "SIN CITY 2" now. :cmad:
