That was basically Rocksteady's Catwoman anyway... so it wouldn't surprise me if they went that way for April.

April O'Niel will probably be walking around with her breasts hanging out and a suit so tight blood wouldn't be able to flow, it's the rocksteady way.

and that's a problem why...?

Bring on sexy ass April O'Neil!

The 80s version did have some big ass ******* though. Watch some of the season 1 episodes.

We have a TMNT related game Thread now here. So we can stop derailing this one.

But all four characters in AC had a different combat style. They felt really diverse, to me.

They did to me as well. Catwoman was the best character IMO, as she generally really felt different to the others. Including sticking to the ceiling, the whip, bolas and calthrops. I'm not the biggest TMNT fan, but I'm sure Rocksteady could make a good game out of it. Even though I'd prefer Arkham 3 to be fast tracked.

I'd rather Arkham 3 be a next gen game. Imagine the scope they could push with it. Also, a 4 player TMNT game in the style of Arkham would be stellar beyond belief.

I too would prefer Arkham City to be a next gen game. With the rumors swirling that the next 360 will be out in 2013 I think that'd be the perfect time for the next game or early 2014. I know this isn't Arkham City but I got into the beta for Gotham City imposters and the game is crazy fun. It has the tight twitch gunplay of Cod and the wild zaniness and graphics of Team Fortress 2, its really awesome, I highly suggest everyone try it out when it comes out in Feb.

Catwoman was the most different, but the character is awful, she's so barebones, very few gadgets, no smoke bombs, also has the smallest health bar. I might just be bitter, cause I'm working on her predator challenges right now and got destroyed on Top of the World Extreme for about an hour last night. Some of these predator challenges are so difficult! Thanks to YouTube though, I'm working through them.

Back to topic: I am disappointed with the line of figures for Arkham City. I really hoped that they would have made/released one based on Hugo Strange, who is the primary villain of the game. While I am happy that I can own terrific figures of Catwoman and Hush, I have been wanting a Strange one to complete my collection. Hopefully they will do a third wave.

Speaking of the third game, I hope they do not release it exclusively (or keep all of the features) for the next generation console. As a completist, I would prefer to have the trilogy for my 360....and not have to buy another console to play it.

Same here, since I won't buy the next console so soon.

According to what i'v read the xbox720 is supposedly 7 times more powerful. A pc that is about 10 times more powerful can have difficultys running Arkham City maxed out. So aside from a higher resolution above 720p with textures and perhaps some DX11 effects and tessellation I wouldn't expect the actual gameplay to change that much at all unless actual physics and interactivity is pushed. For something like PhysX which has elements of detailed interactivity but still full of mostly static stuff, it can take two dedicated graphics cards to get it to run 30+ fps. Now I understand consoles are dedicated in hardware and generally use alot more optmisation tricks to push the hardware but either way i'm really expecting any major changes.

The ironic thing here is though, the actual platform that has changed gameplay the most, is the one with the weakest hardware, the wii. Which the Playstation 3 and the Xbox360 have been playing catchup with via motion controls. That will probably change gameplay the most next generation not the actual pixel pushing. You can see it even now at E3, almost all of Microsofts stuff was kinect.

I mean even logically looking at the Playstation 3 from the Playstation 2.
Has final fantasy, Gran Turismo, Metal Gear Solid or God Of War really changed? No, they are basically the same games you were playing on the Playstation 2.

I wonder why Microsoft just does not make a PC Console that plays both Consoles & PC Games in one. That would certainly be cool

a jump in the processing power would be huge for the graphics and gameplay but that won't be evident til the second or third round of games hit the shelf. It is going to take a while before the developers
really get a handle on the hardware capacity and able to push it.

The increase in hardware capacity would not only affect the textures . Which they can now increase the resolution. The texture which they would be able to increase polycount which will allow for more detailed models.

ok time to get back to the topic of the dark Knight in video games.

DC Direct dropped a surprise on comic book retailers today in the form of a product catalog that showcases many of the company's planned action figures for 2012. In addition to first shots of figures based on the upcoming feature film The Dark Knight Rises, this catalog shows off figures based on Rocksteady's Batman: Arkham City and Batman: Arkham Asylum games. enjoy and discussions in session.

Don't know why they would have Titan Joker as part of the AC line.

Penguin, Freeze, and Croc look great. So does Azrael.

Fully agreed!

Batman and the rest of the group look great. With the exception of character design models of Titan Joker (the design look awful) and The Penguin. (In the game Penguin doesn't wear his hat so that looks out of place also the bottle cap monocle doesn't look right .)

Batman, Az and Ra's don't look like figures... they look like game promo stills.
