I wonder if they will have a DLC pass on sale or something. I remember for LA Noire they had the Rockstar pass that let you save a couple of bucks on the DLC that was available, while also being able to get things that came out later on for free once they were available for download.

Awesome I own a 360, are the controls for cape gliding easy to master or was it difficult ?

I'm planning on buying the new Batarang controller

Caped Knight, I had no problems with it really including the new dive bomb technique. I just like using the PS3 controller more.

too be fair.. Clooney does sorta share alot in common with Bruce's personality.. so.. eh.. lol. Ideally i'd say he's the actor to be most like bruce wayne on film..
Never knew that, thought he fits the role very well though his movie was goofy

Yeah there starting to do that with other games,Recently in games I have is SvR 2011&Mortal Kombat!!

Oh, really? Well, who buys from Toys R Us anyway?

They have some pretty good deals on games sometimes. I bought Mortal Kombat there for $30. They were having some sort of sale and MK was only $40 and you got another $10 off if you used a coupon from their catalog, which was conveniently located in the store! It was the first time in awhile I had set foot in a TRU, but for $30 bucks off a new game I was more than willing.

if the alt costumes added different abilities/weapons/functionality to Batman, then I'd consider getting them. But if they are merely for looks.....I think I'll pass.

unless of course there's an armored skin like the Nolan TDK one.

I doubt they'll come with any upgrades.

Spider-Man has done it before, so it would be great if Rocksteady would at least give the Beyond suit the cloaking ability.

Do you think they might release a costume Trailer before they ship the game? It would be great to see the suits in action.

Yea thats true.

Id hope so man, but at the same time, i kinda want the first time i see the alts to be when I use them in the game. It'll be tough to not watch a video of the alts in action tho.

A costume trailer would be pretty great actually. Just so we could see them in action and in complete 360 degrees.

But it ain't that simple, is it? If we want the content, we have to buy. I support the DLC when it is used to bring on ideas they had after the game release or because there wasn't enough time to do it before the due date. It was a intelligent idea. But when it's abused, it's just an obvious attempt at cash-cow.

Like Nathan said, if the suits are already done, then they should just put it in the disc.

Actually, morality and/or ethics aside, it is that simple. If you buy the DLC, then you are supporting DLC, because it tells the game company that you are willing to part with more of your hard-earned money for the costumes. If you aren't willing to pay for the downloadable content, then don't buy it. If you don't buy it, then you are doing your part to discourage making alternate costumes downloadable content in the future.
Yes you would be sacrificing the opportunity to use the alternate costumes, but that's the alternative to telling the game company that their strategy for earning more money works.

It is not simple because there's no alternative if I really want those suits, nor I can't pre-order, cause I'm countries away from any of those stores, and if we don't buy, they might as well understand that we don't care for them, then not doing alternative costumes in the next game, and I care a great deal. I was one of the fans asking for more suits in the first game, now we'll get more costumes but we're paying extra for them, when they should be already in the disc.

That's not the only thing I'm complaining, though, it is the abusive use of the DLC idea nowadays, and the fact that there won't be extra missions/tasks to pursuit and unlock the suits in the game, taking, what could be really fun and an incentive for achievements, away. It'd only add to the experience, not subtract.

All I know is if they are not free, then I won't be playing as Batman Beyond or anyone else, and honestly, I could care less.

For the past week on the Arkham City twitter page there have been tweet line posted of the nursery rhyme from 'Solomon Grundy' everyday. Which leads me to believe something related to Grundy will be revealed either sometime Today or Tomorrow.

So the different costumes ain't free? Man, that's crappy. But kinda inevitable at this point. Even if the developers intend them to be free, the publishers ain't ever gonna let that happen.

Alot of DLC (not all) just seems to be seeing how far they can ride the donkey.
If you buy it you purpurate it. That's the way I see it.

Good thing I really only care about one of the costumes. I'll pre-order the Beyond suit and that's it. Though it all depends on how much they charge you.

Hmm... If they are just skins then my green is staying in the blue, I'd much rather have challenge maps, which you get with Robin, who is free.

I'm going to be sad if Robin is an in-game unlockable. I pre-ordered at Best Buy before all the skin news hit.

I'd rather have Earth One or TAS skin. I'll pay, whatever. Unlike some people, I'm not delusional enough to believe that I'll help make any difference by not buying the DLC.

And because everyone thinks that, nothing changes. The sad thing is, you can never get the entire gaming community united. I wonder what it's going to take. A season pass that allows you to play the game for a certain time period, before you have to buy a new one?

Unfortunately, yes. It's going to have to be something far past the line of ridiculous for gamers to begin to give a damn, and speak with their wallets.

The DLC age as it is right now, I'm fine with it. Sure, it's annoying, but it could be worse.

Indeed. And as I mentioned before, if it's reasonable, I might actually pick up all the outfits. If the pricing is anything like Capcom's SF costumes. Screw that ****.
