Batman: Arkham City - Part 5

If Superman gets ever done, I say it should be level based, so we can have many different locations. Superman should get around the world. And gameplay wise I'd make it a mix between God of War and Zone of the Enders.

And Rocksteady is the company for the job,Would be nice IF others took notes&actually did something But for now..I hope after AC that they start on a Supes/JLA or Batman&Superman co-op game in a smaller scale like AA(to test the waters on other characters&stories)then come back with a 3rd Arkham game to complete a trilogy..Continue in other possible ways from there!!!

If they would really start making other DC comic games, then I hope it'll be a JLA game. I don't want to wait several years till I can play with Green Lantern, Flash or Wonder Woman again. I still play Justice League Heroes from time to time to get my JLA fix.

I loved this game, it only had 5 levels but they were varied as you got a Batmobile level and a Batwing level, very impressive for it's time.

The first and last levels (Axis chemical plant/Gotham Cathedral) were a mix of swinging from platform to platform and shooting goons with a batarang that looked like a white ball. The 3rd level was a puzzle where you use the Batcomputer to work out the 3 items that make up the Smilex compund before the timer runs out.

This is still the best Batman game pre-Arkham Asylum

I kid you not. The combat moves, Batmobile level and the graphics were better in Returns, IMO. So was the music.

Oh yeah. The Batman Returns game on the SNES was ace.

Batman Returns is also one of my fav.Bat games!,But anybody else liked Batman Forever SNES/Genesis(one I had it for)&PS1 at all?I didn't think it was all that bad!

I used to love the Batman 89 game on the Gameboy. That game got me through a lot of car trips/family arguments :P

I looooved Returns on the SNES. Gonna look around and see if I can fins it again

Batman Returns was pretty ahead of its time. Better than it had any right to be. Also had good interactivity with the environment. It was pretty much better than the movie as well. Like you could actually slam bad guys into windows. You could do the part from the movie where you ripped a piece of concrete from the wall with your grappling gun and slam into a bad guys head. Batmobile level was also pretty impressive.

I had the sega CD version of 'adventures of batman and robin.'

it was all very difficult driving sections. ._.

but on the bright side, it had an exclusive episode of BTAS with higher quality animation than the show

Aww man, seeing all these pics of old Batman games makes me wish I still had my old consoles. I was terrible at video games as a kid and never got very far in most of those games. :csad:

There's something really underwhelming about going back and finishing old games you played as a kid. We've been so spoiled with games today, when you finish one of the classics it's like "WTF?!? WHERE'S MAH ACHIEVEMENT!"

That is true. Awhile back I played some X-Men Mutant Apocalypse at a friend's house. After a little bit we all got bored and decided to go back to playing Left4Dead2. But I really would like to take another crack at the Adventures of Batman and Robin SNES game.

yeah I'll go back and play games that blew my fricken mind as a kid, and they'll be kinda boring now

Except the Sonic games. They still entertain me so much more than any other Sonic game to come out in the last 10 years. I just bought Sonic and Knuckles on XBL and I'm totally digging it :P

My first Batman videogames were Batman Returns on the Game Gear and Mega Drive II. They were both awesome, possibly my favourite Batman games ever, right after Arkham Asylum (and soon Arkham City)

Picked up a copy of a local game store magazine, theres a one page poster for arkham city with the b&w pics of robin, bats and catwoman on it

i'll scan and post it a bit later

on the topic of games
my first batman game was adventures of batman and robin for the sega megadrive

Man I feel so young, my first batman game was batman begins on ps2
