Batman: Arkham Knight - Part 1

If that was their intention, then they shot themselves in the foot by making their villain into yet another "evil Batman" that composes a third of his Rogue's Gallery.

Well we don't know exactly who the Knight is or his motivation, so it's a little early to say it's just another evil Batman.

I even doubt she will appear in the game at all.

Other than that, I'm a little tired of her one-dimensional motives of stealing. I mean, c'mon... How much more do we need of this? Can't she be manipulated, forced into something, that goes against her selfish interests? Or maybe she can have a personal vendetta. If I remember correctly, she beaten a guy with a baseball bat into bloody porridge in New 52. That's what I want to see, if she gets a role in the new game.

So basically you want to turn the character into something she's not. No thank you, I like my Selina to be a thief with a heart of gold not a cold blooded murderer. And I hope she, Robin, and Nightwing all have a part in helping Bruce.

Edit: If someone was going to manipulate Catwoman I would prefer it to be Ivy like she did in 'Hush'. Hopefully Ivy makes an appearance.

I know, I was just kidding since Sharp is the only character they have made up. Which speaks to how much these guys have stuck to the comics overall, even using more obscure characters like Aaron Cash.

Cool couldn't remember the only one I remember was the clayface from the old animated series.


Red Claw she would be a good female villain if she hasn't popped up yet.

The last time Catwoman was considered a true villain in the comics was pre-Crisis. They have made her a character that lives in the grey area and that works best for her(IMO). And I'm honestly not getting what you want from her as a villain if you don't want her to be a murderer. The Batman Blackgate game has her being hired to free bane from prison which I suppose is about as "villain" as you're going to get with Selina.

I liked the Court of Owls.

I did not like the ending...it got pretty out of hand, I think. I mean like ****ing bonkers insane. But, up until the whole crazy finale, I thought it was a pretty good inclusion to the Batman mythos. I could see the Court getting fine tuned and made better by Rocksteady, or someone else at some point.

Yeah, I agree. Up until the WHOOOA THIS IS CRAZY ending.. I really, really enjoyed Court of the Owls.

Yeah but they were like minor characters. Sharp was the Warden of Arkham, the spirit of Arkham, and then the Mayor of Gotham.

I don't think you meant that, as you said you want Returns Catwoman in the game but thing is she never was portrayed like in Arkham City so I think that would be so out of character if Dini wrote her like Burton version in AC then I have no problem been like that in AK.

I'd like TAS villain Catwoman. Not sure about this murder, or heart of gold stuff. In AC I chose to leave with the money because I felt that's what Catwoman would do. If she were a hero, I don't think Rocksteady would have had that choice.

I love BTAS Catwoman one of the best interpretation of the character. I always choose to help Batman. I don't think she should be a villain though.

She's not a mastermind villain, but she does commit crimes purely for selfish reasons, and sometimes for other criminals like Two-Face or Riddler. That's something that Batman would be trying to stop. I wouldn't want her to become the Joker, but simply do the things she always does, lead Batman on a rooftop chase. I love that stuff with Catwoman. Catwoman as a hero gets boring to me. If she's never a villain, then she's no longer really in the grey area, she's just an anti-hero, which Batman kinda already is anyway so...

I think after Batman has saved Catwoman, I think she might feel like she owes him, but Catwoman doesn't put her life on the line for people just because she knows them. She actually beats up people if they get in the way of her payday. She has a conscience, but she's not a 'good guy,' usually.

The original meaning of Ati-Hero and how it was portrayed was always some one out for them selves and did what they wanted/ felt like in a any situation they're in, In comparison to the classic(who'd do the right thing ) and (the complected Heroes , try to do the right thing, but can't always afford to and deviates a bit but it's for a good cause) .
Though that was before some writers at Marvel and then later over all in other forms of media mucked it up. and mixed element of the reluctant hero in it.

But that's what it was originally. and what it should still originally should be. So it fits her to be an ant- hero.

As for the hero thing again when she formed the birds of prey she was sorta serving her self there as well and just being on the heroes good side while she did it. it's more like a probation thing. and she'd fall back to her old habits, like an alcoholic once she's free of them. and she does champion some "cause's" like animal right's mostly a cat thing. so it's not like the hero thin was too out of place yes she's selfish and she has a wild temper. but she's not cold harted or a killer.

I never liked TAS Catwoman. She was very bland, got caught right away, and her "animal activist" motivation seemed tacked on and forced. She would have been great in The Batman if they actually gave her something to do. My favorite incarnation was Brave and the Bold, where she had the best balance of being villainous, but not too much.

If you ask me, though, the best version of Catwoman in animation is Spectacular Spider-Man's Black Cat.

The cat woman from brave and the bold is the very first cat woman from comic's from the golden age where bat man was finally able to redeem her from being the old school kinda of evil and had their Daugherty Helena the first huntress. which made it to the live action show. and bat man showed progression of in stead of dieing or having his universe rebooted he became commissioner of Gotham. and he passed on the mantel of batman. some time i wish at least with some of the reboots they'd allow for some thing/ some of that again.


I'd like one where the mantel is passed from bruce to Night wing to time and Damien refuse's it and to terry. and have Helena be in that universe as terry'sand his younger brothers half sister. it'll be a serious change from having him dieing or still being bat man let the man age like he did in batman beyond . but int he same universe where Helena kyle born and terry and his brother and Damien and Jason Todd are apart of it. I'm still waiting for that. cause some of this is repeating it's self


oh let's kill him, oh oh let's leave him as batman, but we're rebooting the DCU any way. some times some of the people that started the comic's industry have a better idea then the current heads now and days.

oh yeah the the TAS deal with cat woman and the animal rights thing where cat of size's ere her cause, that was their tribute to batman returns since that version of cat woman was insanely all about the cat's in that movie to a degree . and "The Batman " TAS showed this as well too. So no that one didn't escape it ether..

This. I think, they turned her into almost Batman's side-kick. Yes, she's sorta in grey area, but her most important bits are related to saving Batman's ass or getting saved by Batman. At least, that was my impression. I'd really like to see her plot against Batman, confront him, commit crimes and even screw things up badly. Yet, unlike true villains, she can show some compassion or even kindness in critical moments. Flip sides.

I'm pretty sure they showed that with her in the tas when she tried to seduce Night wing and the batman tas too. she wasnt a murdering person. but she did trick him to have what she wanted and she got away( ok nearly did) what she did quiet often in the latter tas of the Batman.

As to the comic's as I said it was that she using that to her advantage it was shown in the comic's as well like when she showed huntress helana b how to hurt batman in an arena fight she knows his suits week point.
