Should've just played it and sold it on ebay imo.
Jesus guys, when someone says that 'you're skating on thin ice' do you look flabbergasted and say 'but there's no ice in sight?' Obviously I mean that the plots are so thin that they may as well not exist. Arkham City starts off with a terrific premise which is then squandered for Joker's fedex quest for the cure. A cure which, by the way, is entirely forgotten about in regards to the 2000 or so infected in the main Gotham area.
Thank you. Good lord, I thought I was in the Land of Literalism for a moment there.
Yeah, and Paul Blart: Mall Cop made more than the Shawshank Redemption. The amount something sells does not denote quality, and trying to argue so is a hack argument. Arkham Knight has largely been positively received, but even positive reviews call it a step down from City, and rightfully so.
The AR challenges remove the verisimillitude of the original maps - there you could imagine it was Batman going against actual foes. Here you are constantly reminded that the danger is not real and that Batman is just practicing. The blue walls are largely fixed by still noticeable, and the overlay voice is irritating. But moreover the fact that they must be paid for, and that the predator maps are largely uninspired and just taken from the game removes any excuse.
Remember the extra challenge maps in City and Origins? Remember how they were not in the actual game and were cool extras? Even the most recent map releases are just ones from the base game.
Exactly.
It's easily the weakest game of the series, IMO.

I doubt it!
What did you think of Season of Infamy?
I don't think it's really tank battles themselves. It's just overall absurd repetitiveness of many tasks. Most side quests require you to repeat exact same action several times. Cleaning up Ace Chemicals was fun. But the following 100500 "horde mode" tank battles - weren't. Mission, where you have to clean up guards of the anti-air system, then you have to use Batmobile remotely to destroy the turret - that's good. Enough variety, interesting task and level design. And you use not only your stealth and driving skills, but also the tank mode as well, and it feels great. But repeatable battles against unmanned swarms of tanks - that's lazy and annoys the crap out of most people. Stealth Cobra battles. One is more than enough. Alright, there's a task where you have to chase a Cobra on feet, taking shots from all sides - that's great. Instead of giving us 3 battles with Cobras and then ultimate battle against Cloudburst, gives us one task to chase and analyze a column of Cobras and Cloudburst and then later give us ONE battle against them, after Batman learns their weaknesses. As a boss battle. Add normal boss battles against super-villains. Calling a game Arkham Knight without proper face-to-face battle against him - missed opportunity. To sum things up - quantity over quality approach really damaged the game.
LOL...it was alright in theory but to me that was the worst part. Joker was too damn annoying and I didnt find him funny or tolerable. Its almsot like they turned Batman into Deadpool with Joker acting as his inner voice complete with bad jokes and puns every other minute. As someone who hates Deadpool, I couldnt deal with that and its a reason why I never want to replay the game again. I'll do DLC and challenges but exepriencing the story once was good enough for me
Origins is better than AK. Obviously an opinion, but one shared by many on here

story and its execution wasnt that great either and that was also a big problem. I just found myself disinterested and not engaged
Arkham Knight could have been 10/10 Game of the Year for sure.
But because of the below flaws it's only an 8.5/10 IMO.
* Tank Battle dynamic way too relied upon. It should have been maybe 5 segments and that max.
* The villain team up story element was underused. Besides the Joker cutscene near the end, we never saw the talked about "Meeting" between the rogues gallery, where they agreed to take down Batman. There was concept art of this though. Asylum and City had great opening sequences. This game just opened on the stupid play as a cop section.
* Arkham Knight should have just straight up been called Red Hood. The Arkham Knight character was a big wet blanket. Anyone who knows the story of Jason was able to work out the twist within the first couple of hours. Some hints to Jason's existence would have been good in the previous games also.
* The story lacked punch. Scarecrow just wasn't impressive enough to be the big bad. Personally thought they should have brought back a heavy hitter like Ra's as the person pulling the strings.
* The Season of Infamy missions should have been part of the main storyline making up for the overuse of tank battles.
* They should have brought the Batcave back. I loved it's inclusion in Origins as a place to cycle through batsuits and use the batcomputer. The Clocktower just didn't cut it.

^I mean i guess it could be.. If you legit played NO OTHER GAME in 2015...
