Well hes in the batman universe, you guys cant pick and choose who you want to stay and who you dont. A "nobody" like "egghead" or somebody could be left out, but Robin is a pretty major character.

alright everyone. Close ur eyes. No imagine robin from the comics.

now remember schumacher robin.

Now think about Begins VS B&R.

Nolan's vision VS schumachers.

Nolan's Robin.

Now u realize how much cooler robin can be.

Just.....not for another couple movies.

NO ROBIN.

I love how you anti-Robin peeps can't provide anything other than "Schumacher! B&R! Camp! No!"

Lol. :o

i'm not hot on robin either, but if anybody could pull it off and make it work = Nolan could. I believe in him

I don't want robin right now. But somewhere down the line, he's gonna be there. Whether u like it or not lol.

I've always HATED the idea of Batman with ANY sidekicks whatsoever. Not in the comics, not in the animated series, not in live-action movies... NO PHUCKIN' BIRD BOY.

Too bad for the Robin haters, you'll get it one day. This is a rebooted franchise, sooner or later down the line, a new Robin will be in a Batman movie.

alright - lets all agree to put an end to the robin discussion. This isn't the place for it.

Alright, here's basically the final version of this. I had it done last week, but dont have steady access to a computer right now. This is basically what i think we'll see for Joker.

Here's something:
No Matter how dark or nolan-esque you make robin, he is still a companion tobatman, an dbatman is a loner. i mean he's got gordon, but batman doesnt need robin. still, robin doesnt look like a robin bird. batman looks liek a bat, and the criminals think theyre fighting a night creature. even if dick did look like a robin, robins arent scary. robin could be reinvented very well, he just wouldnt fit into the mythology of the nolan films

:yay:

yeah i think i can live with that:yay:

Well, I agree that Robin should not be in Nolan's Batman films...ever. And I hope he never will be, and I'm a pretty big Robin fan. So, I got bored and drew and colored this, a "what if" of sorts, if Robin was in a Nolan Batman film.

Was goin' to add a background, like a church or somethin', but I got lazy. And Robin's not too much appreciated around these boards.

Thats a nice design.

I agree the Robin debate should be kept out of here. It is a pretty big argument among Batfans in general, and we shouldn't need to get on the defensive everytime someone makes a manip of anything Robin-related.

Dark Victory.

You CAN'T tell me that the tone and mood from the first half of DV didn't change considerably compared to the second half when Robin was introduced.

It felt like a completely different book.

Yeah, but it was still good. Because Batman was still Batman. The loner. That's what he should be, even with Robin around.

But I'm not saying I want Robin in the films.

i dont think he can be a loner with robin without being really annoyed by robin constantly, which would be hilarious lol

heh, at first glance I thought he was doing a jump off the batcycle
