Batman|Bruce Wayne/Affleck is in Suicide Squad!

Oh, art is absolutely gorgeous. Jim Lee at his finest!

By the way, if I remember correctly, he says "I love being the goddamn Batman!" in this very panel and then starts laughing maniacally.

:funny: Oh yes. Gawd. But I do think you're right when you say it's an entertaining read. Just for laughs, All Star Batman & Robin can be 'good' I guess. But if I genuinely enjoyed anything from it, it's Jim Lee's top illustration.

I'm serious, as a parody it is great. Batman that imitates Clint Eastwood's voice, has deliberately spent time eating rats in the cave and exclaims "sometimes I hate the sun".

Also, Wonder Woman being men-hating bi**h, Superman being unaware of the fact he can fly and Hal Jordan being an idiot. Okay, he actually got that last one right. :woot:

I'm not sure why people constantly feel the need to point out how terrible ASB&R is when it's clearly the art -- not the content -- that's being referenced.

Exactly can you imagine Ben Affleck saying "I love being the goddamn Batman"… in character.

I'm not sure why you need to point that out when this conversation started with an off hand comment to KillerWolf by myself. It's not like we aren't aware of the context in which the comic was brought up.

More Stuntfleck. I really like this shot. I wonder what he does after tearing the roof of the car off...pull at their hair? Haha.

He enters the car and sits in the middle, like Indy in Cristal Skull.

No need to be defensive. I just find it curious why posters often feel a need to comment on the subject of Miller's poorly conceived narrative rather than Jim Lee's pencils, especially when it's the latter that's being presented for discussion. It happens all the time.

We focus on content AND looks. we are not superficial.:o

Well, I suppose it's kinda hard to ignore it, being that bad. :woot:
And I don't mind it, being the person who posted that picture regarding Jim Lee's pencils in the first place.

But really, the art is one of the most beautiful I've ever seen in the comic book. Don't know who did the colors though...?

And therein lies the tragedy I suppose. Lee's artwork, specifically his run on AS, will forever be associated with that trainwreck of a story. :csad:

No worries. I see your point but really it just stems from the flow of conversation I suppose. Sometimes we're going to go off topic a little, and as long as it doesn't go too far it's not an issue. Plus, I just think it's easier to discuss story than art. Conversations about art tend not to get too detailed around here.

Indeed. All of the reviews praised Lee's work though. This one is my favorite:

"Biggers gave the issue a "D"http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Academic_grading_in_North_America, explaining that it would be an "F" if not for Jim Lee's art, and suggested that to salvage the work, DC should reprint the book with blank word balloons and let readers submit their own scripts."

And it really warms my heart to put these to pictures one next to each other,:

and see how similar they look.

Ouch. That's brutal. A brilliant idea for sure but brutal as all get out! :funny:

it can be opening shot... batman chasing joker and harley, locks him up, joker escapes, task force x is on mission to catch him.
