This isn't going to be another origin story is it?
I liked how they did it with Ben, a seasoned Batman well into his prime.
I would prefer that route again.

If it is a older, experienced Batman, then I would like Anson Mount.

No idea if it's a younger batman.

At this point in time, all signs are pointing to a continuation of the Justice League Batman.

But that makes no sense.

If they’re shooting The Batman next year, then why not just use Affleck, as he’s apparently returning for Flashpoint, which is set for 2020?

I put Reeves’ movie as being a prequel if anything.

It doesn't sound like Affleck wants to continue doing it. It's really nothing but hearsay until something official is confirmed. Until then, Affleck is suiting up as Batman one last time in Flashpoint (Rumor). But who knows, maybe he'll enjoy playing the role again and want to continue as Batman. The entire situation is bizarre.

I'll eat my shoe if Affleck comes back for flashpoint. And if he does, it will likely be a smaller role.

Justice League is a piece of crap. Let it go Warner Brothers. Screw prequels. Screw old man grumpy batman. Be done with it. Don't need an origin ever. You can't beat Batman Begins, don't even try to pull a Man of Steel or Amazing Spider-Man. Experienced but young Batman is enough.

Now that X-men is with Disney, I'm really hoping they consider James McAvoy for Batman. He's been putting on muscle.

God No.

Fassbender sucks at playing good guys. He plays the kinda good guy you wanna see fail.

Not only is McAvoy the better actor but he has that edge that Fassbender lacks.

Fassbender is a much better actor than McAvoy. The only movie i've ever liked him in was Split. He usually irritates me and overacts (especially in the X-men movies). James couldn't hold Michael's jock.

Light Between Oceans sold me on Fass playing a good guy. I had so much respect for that character and Fass was responsible for selling it. He plays a really good dude who gets caught up in making a bad choice.

hahaha! McAvoy made me care about Xavier as a character and he played the part of a sensitive soul like Chuck with finesse.
Fassbender struggles with delivering lines. When He's performing, You can tell he's trying. He's not a natural actor at all.
First Class made Fassbender look better than he is but he still hams it up enough. Especially in Days of Future Past.
"I don't know Karate but I know Crazy." The way he delivers this line made me bite my teeth so hard.

His only pitch perfect performance was Steve Jobs. I liked him in Inglorious Basterds but he dies in that movie and rightfully so.
Fassbender is much better in smaller doses. Or when he doesn't have to convey a range of emotion. He's good at being intense but that's not enough for Batman.

McAvoy can carry a film. His Range is better, He performs more naturally except when he's a love interest. He knows how to deliver a line better than most actors today and he's better with eyes than Fassbender is. Plus he's just hitting his peak.

Fassbender is past his peak.

And they say opinions can’t be wrong. :csad:

Fassbender struggles with delivering lines? LOL you kidding? If it comes off that way, it's because the character is struggling internally with expressing himself. Fass "struggling with lines', haha never in a million years. Dude was the top actor of his school (which also held the likes of Tom Hardy). Actors like Hardy looked at him in awe. And i never hear that kind of praise for James. 12 Years A Slave? Hunger? Shame? Inglourious Basterds? Steve Jobs? All better than anything i've seen from McAvoy, who to me never feels natural. Like he's always forcing. Split is impressive work, but i can't think of another performance that impressed me. Just a personal example of where i'm coming from..just my taste...Fass in this year's Alien: Convenant (nobody's favorite movie) was the only watchable thing in that. Not a good movie but he kept me from turning it off. McAvoy on the other hand annoyed me to no end like he usually does , in Atomic Blonde. His "emotional" moments usually make me laugh because of facial expressions like in Days of Future Past. He can't play the tough street dude well, and his comedic timing is a bit off. Fass has this intensity in his eyes that make me believe anything he's about to do. X-Men Apocalypse was garbage and McAvoy was just as bad as anyone else in that movie, with the exception of Fassbender who grounded his scenes because he's just a great actor.

McAvoy hasn't really proved that he can carry a film like Fassbender. 12 Years a Slave is probably his best performance. I don't know if McAvoy is on that level honestly.

I don't want Fass for Batman either. but he played an introverted good hearted man REALLY well in Derek Cianfrance's Light Between Oceans. And internal conflict, not being able to express his emotions could work wonders as Bruce Wayne.

I'm a big fan of Michael Fassbender but he can't really carry a movie either, unfortunately. He's not a box office draw.

12 years a slave was mainly an ensemble film and a damn fine one at that.

He knows what women want.

Ladies, you can call him PROFESSOR SEX!

I too think Fassbender is better than McAvoy :oldrazz: But McAvoy's not a bad actor either.

I don't mean Fassbender can draw a crowd, I just mean he can hold his own as a lead a lot better than McAvoy.

Both Fass and McAvoy are two of the best actors working today. "Overacting?" "Struggles with delivering lines?" Really? SMH.

Leo is also one of the best actors around today and he overacts from time to time.

McAvoy definitely goes over the top every once in a while.
