Yeah, I'm in no hurry to see Eisenberg's Lex assemble the Legion of Doom. :funny:

I would love it if we see Lex assemble the Legion of Doom in post credit scenes from every solo film. Then they start Justice League 2, and the entire Legion gets bombed in the first 5 minutes. All dead. Zoom in, to a shot of Eisenberg, eyes closed, snotty nose.

Re: Hamm: Armie Hammer has the exact same voice as Hamm. Like seriously, close your eyes and listen to both of them. There's no difference.

Some bogus site mentions Hamm and everyone takes it seriously. Gyllenhaal will be Batman.

Imagine that... people speculating when we've got nothing concrete and everything to speculate about. :o

I don't want to retcon anything we have established in the franchise. I really like the idea of Jon Hamm as The Batman. Now looking back him not being an A list talented I don't understand why they didn't go for him in BvS and since Ben Affleck already being an A lister who doesn't need the role can walk out easily as he wants to now.

Any who I think the best option is to replace Ben with Jon and not really mention anything of it. They both look similar and Jon really is another choice that screams Bruce Wayne/Batman other than anyone else. Also if Matt Reeves wants a Batman in his early career they can just have Jon look younger without grey hair for Matt's films. It would really workout like Wonder Woman movies being set before the franchise present time. So if Jon were to appear in justice league 2 or any other film he would have grey and be pretty much look a lot like Ben. I think he really is a better option for the franchise rather than Gyllenhaal who is already an A-lister. I'm hoping they do go with Jon Hamm route. Oddly before this rumor came up I thought about this when I was watching Baby Driver (watched it only recently in the past 2 weeks)

I can't think of any other choices besides Armie or Jake. Hamm is okay choice, but I think WB will go for actor around 30s.

I didn't say stop speculating. I said ppl are taking it seriously as if it's coming from a trade or multiple reliable sources.

Hamm has always reminded me of a l I've version of Alex Ross' Batman. I'd love for WB to somehow keep it quiet and have Ben play Bruce at the beginning of Flashpoint. Then, once Barry gets everything reset at the end movie, Hamm is Bruce.

Maybe Hamm can play Bruce and Ben can play Batman. That won’t confuse anyone since people look different when they wear masks.

If you want Hamm, just get Hammer! Trade him in for the younger model.

But Hamm is better and Hammer is annoying in real life. Affleck is an ******* in real life and doesn't know how to play anyone but himself so it's distracting watching him play a "hero". Especially a character who I look up to. Hammer's recent annoying comments would probably distract me once again. And even if he can turn up a good performance, he's a boring pick compared to Gyllenhaal or Hamm. I've been a fan of Jon's for a while so it's pretty easy to buy him in the role, as a recast.

I still can't believe we're talking about recasting and not rebooting. It's baffling to me.

Sawyer has a point, though. As per usual, the studio has yet to give us so much as a crumb. So, we're just in that "any news is news" stage for the time being, i.e., until one of the more reputable trades provides something a little more substantive.

That said, you're not wrong. Hamm's an interesting choice (certainly one worth discussing), but people should know that he may not actually be in the running to replace Ben.

BatHamm rolls off the tongue a little better than BatHammer. Gotta think about the important things. :o

I really don't see this being in WB's best interest. If there's anything to learn from Marvel is that you can replace an actor and continue forward. There's really no need to reboot the character. Chances are, it's a soft reboot without really a reboot. Sort of like a James Bond actor change.

Flashpoint = Soft Reboot
It could also explain a better version of Joker being brought into the universe. Leto's version didn't do it for me at all.

I think Hamm has certain noir-ish appeal. He's tall. His bat-glare should be really nice. BUT, isn't he too old for the role? Are they going for old Batman trilogy? He's 46 now. By the time the first film is made he will be around 50. Too late, man. We need mid-30s Bruce Wayne.

Not a fan of the costume design but thats a damn good pose.
is there one with the mask?
