How can you know?

Bomer is a great choice.
It's better if he's good at being BW anyway.
As Batman, he would just wears the costume, that's not the big deal.
The most important part is to be believable as Bruce Wayne the playboy.

And Fassbender just looks like he's too old, tired and he's going to crowl himself. He seems sick all the time.
thats the easiest part of bruce any decent actor can play that

hell gosling played that part of crazy stupid love

i want an actor who can do both

It's not a question of being able to play it.
But to be believable. That's not the case for every actors people have mentioned here.

An ugly actor with beautiful ladies around him, I won't buy it!

Moreover, as it's already been said, Keaton has a stunt double...

I would totally buy it:

Keaton's voice, mannerisms, and eyes are what made a great Batman. Being a believable Bruce Wayne, is very important, but being able to be Batman, in this movie is most likely more important. Bomer is not big enough, I don't think. Fassbender, thats not going to happen, would be awesome and is a better actor than pretty much everybody mentioned, even more so than Gosling. He is Magneto, though.

How about Dan Aykroyd for Batman?

Most important part is he's believable as batman the vigilante. I think the playboy part is the easy part.
There is no "just wear the costume" when it comes to batman. Believing the pretty boy is Bruce is easy, believing the same pretty boy is batman where they have be spot on.

I don't care all that much about just what face the actor has, I'm more concerned about the energy and type of charisma they bring to Bruce and Batman.

Give me a boyish looking actor, and you can play up the idea he portrays Bruce Wayne as an immature trust fund kid, then when he wears the suit or is stripped down to the angry man beneath, a good actor can make him seem tougher, weary, and despondent. The contrast could be fascinating.

Give me an older, Eastwood-looking actor, and he acts more like Hugh Hefner as Bruce Wayne and more like a hardened veteran as Batman. Less contrast, but an easier visual for him slipping I to the role.

Good actors don't need to look exactly like whoever they're portraying. Christian Bale, Chris Hemsworth, Henry Cavill, and probably most of the actors mentioned on this thread, could all knock it out of the park as both sides of Batman. Superman's face is his face. Batman's face is his eyes, his mask, and his voice. If a skinny comedian could play Batman as well as Keaton did, so can any skilled and hungry actor. The looks should really only apply to how they play Bruce Wayne, and that's flexible.

"Go get her Batman"

-Superman to Batman regarding Wonder Woman-

Bruce Wayne is not just a playboy. He is dark and full of pain; he is also an intelligent man.
stop pretending that it is easy to be Bruce Wayne and Batman.

In all honestly Henry Cavill would be the most appropriate choice for Bruce Wayne/Batman. But he's already Superman!

I don't really see that myself, he's perfect for Superman but I don't think he's right for Batman.

So I take you see Bomer as the former?
Yeah until i see him acting. Same with Cavill, show a picture of him in one of your female (or gay male) friends and they will be all over him. It's not like i don't think thats attractive or anything, it is but i see nothing else, just "cookiecutter" models. That applies to women too.

Cookiecutter eye candy people have to impress me with something else in order to pay attention to them (acting, voice, penis size...you know...the usual)

btw : If you are so sure about Brolin then so be it, im ready and with an open mind. He is actually a solid choice.

I still have a feeling that Jake G is going to get the role, and I'd be really exited to see what he'd do with the role. I wouldn't want Brolin unless it's a direct adaptation of TDKR. He looks even older than he is IMO. I feel Hamm is a better option to go along with Cavill is they are wanting a slightly older Batman.

I need to see more of him. That final scene of him as Clark, hmmm I don't know, I don't see the difference between Super and Clark, understand?

I like Manganiello a lot and was a supporter for him when he was mentioned as a possible for MOS. Just not 100% sure of him playing Batman though. Part of me thinks he would nail it, but part of me also think he hasn't got quite the right look to play Bruce Wayne.

I think he'd make a mean Lobo though.....

Hamm has little interest in this genre...so he can pee right off :)

henry imo could of been batman while he is wholesome he does have a certain intensity too which makes a great balance when supes gets angry:yay:

Really?

Hmph...still don't like him due to resemblance issues :o

Bomer is not on their radar and he would make a **** Batman anyway. He has zero intensity. He's good for playboy Bruce.

There's a lot more to putting on the suit as Batman. Come on now. Any good actor with charisma can play the "playboy". It's no big deal. It's mainly about the genuine private Bruce Wayne then when he's in the cowl. Bomer is wrong for this role.

Fassbender would be perfect for what theyre looking for, unless theyre adamant about a mid 40s Batman. Late 30s he would nail. But it's not happening because of Magneto plus other franchises.

Even if Bomer is 35, he looks a little younger. So it's not happening. The only way they would compromise with a little makeup or whatever is if they locked down a popular star like Gosling.

I just got done laughing at EW's article on how Ryan Gosling should be Batman, and honestly I'm not jealous because of his abs otherwise I'd of been jealous of Christian Bale back when he was picked as Batman because of his abs in American Psycho too.

It's just that EW and all other programs seem to be shoving this clown down our throats when he's not a box office draw, neither was Bale but at least he can act.

As of now the rumor of Josh Brolin as a one off movie Batman is fine by me, but please no Gosling or Joe Mangianello.
