Hamm would be all sorts of awesome for an older Batman.

I'm not trying to be like the crude meanies on The Amazing Spider-Man threads when it came to Shailene Woodley as M.J but is it wrong that I want a hot guy to play Batman? Of course that isn't on the top of my list but it is a preference of mine.

not really. he should be good looking.

The most terrifying in Batman to me is the costume.
Yeah, there are the eyes. But you can't clearly see them.
If these eyes could be blue, it would be so beautiful to see!!
That ones of Henry for example.

Matt Bomer has blue eyes, they are piercing. It would be AWE-SOME! :yay:
But Batman is more than the costume.

WE KNOW HOW BOMER LOOKS!!!! Seesh, stop with the pics.
THANK YOU!!!! There really needs to be a rule against excessively posting pictures of an actor/actress in a non-celebrity appreciation thread. :cmad:

Jeff Goldblum for Bats.

Suck it, haters!!!! :cmad:
I love it. :D

Now let's get Will Smith with some cheesy one-liners as Robin and we have a hit. :awesome:

Look Johnny Depp made a tone of money but do you see him as Batman it's the same thing with Bomer, Goslin, Jake and all those guys they simply not Batman. However i'll go to theater for the next pirate but those actor are not Batman to be Batman you need something else nearly mystic, a mix of intellect and masculinism not to be confuse with masculinity masculunism is something different.
Imagine if Batman '89 got made a few years later. It might have been a reality.

I don't know what's worse: The constant posting of Bomer or the fact that people actually like Brolin for Batman... and his face.

Definitely the constant posting of Bomer. But then again I one of those Brolin-loonies. :o:oldrazz:

^ "He should be good looking." Which is why I'm hesitant to choose Brollin. I think he'd be very good in the costume, though he'd have to get into athletic shape. But as far as an attractive person goes :/

And he'd look like Cavill's father not before too long.

Oh my, I'm sorry, I just hope you won't hate the actor then, you know he has done nothing wrong...

He is just a nice guy living somewhere and doing his job...
And surely fighting for some causes...

But keep on watching WC, that's a good show, I don't want you not to watch him anymore. :csad:

Brolin, of course.

Nah, don't worry, I really like that show. :)

I really doubt Brolin is gonna get cast, he's obviously a great actor but he's divorcing Diane Lane, that'd be awkward on set, and while I hate the whole "he's too old to play this character" claims, and 45 isn't being "too old" , I do agree that in this case with the way Brolin has aged he'd look more like a father figure for Henry's Superman and I'm not sure that's the dynamic I'd like to see on the first Batman/superman film and the future sequels.

Having said that, I wouldn't mind Brolin getting cast. It's not my ideal scenario but, oh well.

Armitage is still the number one choice for me. If he can pull off the accent, he'd have it made. Urban is a VERY close second, though.

Nothing to do with the eyes.
That ones of Brolin of any other actors do not mean anything.

It works (actually not to me) because he has an angry look on this pic.
Do you see his eyes?
Let's be honest: are you scared of him because of his eyes? (that you don't even see????) :o

Anyway, that's not fair: I could take a pic of Brolin here he has a sweet look too.
I'm sure you'll tell he would not be the good guy.

Of course it's not wrong, but the problem with that, as it was in those awful Woodley threads, is that "hotness" is subjective. For example, people keep saying Karl Urban isn't attractive enough for Bruce, yet I find him to be FAR more handsome than Richard Armitage and Josh Brolin. So it's hard to rule someone out for that fact alone. Of course, I have other reasons for ruling out Armitage and Brolin, lol.

Urban's plenty attractive. He has a boyish quality to his face, an intensity to his eyes, and a STRONG facial structure. But there's almost that element that you could meet him in a store, or something. Not that this is a put-down, if anything, that component adds more than a model could ever have.

Like ЯɘvlveR said, Wayne is supposed to be good looking, but he's generally depicted as a rugged sort of individual -- one who conveys a great deal of strength and complexity combined with a hint of darkness. That's why Bomer doesn't really work. Wayne can be a "pretty boy" of sorts -- but not too pretty.

Why does Armitage remind me of Bradley Cooper at some angles? :hmm

Anyway, Jon Hamm has that magic ability to look very handsome and charming in films and on television, but looks very dad next door when off the clock.

I think Brolin is ruggedly handsome. He has great hair for Bruce. There's something vacant in his eyes, yet you can tell he's got stuff going on up there. All of that is perfect for Bruce.

Plus, any man who can land Diane Lane must be doing something right...

Yep the problem is that it is totally subjective, I agree with that. Brolin isn't a bad looking dude he is just a hard looking 45. I think Urban is attractive but I haven't made up my mind on Armitage.

Sometimes the magic strikes off-screen...

...but I guess that's not really "off-the-clock" since he's still on-set. Doesn't matter at any rate, as we are indeed talking about a film.

And neither Brolin nor Armitage look terrifying to me.
Actually yeah but for some bad reasons.

Brolin because too much people want him as Batman and I don't want to let that happen, Armitage because of his weird nose/face.

But, seriously....having a terrifying face IRL is not a bonus!!
You should think "hey, that's Bruce Wayne, the rich billionaire" when you see them and not "oh, he looks like he can kick your ass" or "his eyes scare me"!

The thing is, if they really are being influenced by Miller's TDKR, then that's precisely why Brolin is an ideal choice. The Batman depicted in that story is no longer the young and suave Bruce Wayne we're used to seeing in mainstream comics.

Armatage has "soft features" but intense eyes. He also has a sharp nose. I also feel like he looks exactly his age, not older, but not younger.

What if you hear him talk? ;)

I like his deep voice, it's so perfect in The Hobbit . But I haven't seen him doing an american accent, I'm gonna guess he'd do it as well as Henry

but if he gets it then we'll get another wave of complains about british actors cast as american superheroes :funny:

Michael Trucco. Decent actor, looks a bit like Bale (dare I say it, more dashing) and has a good voice. When brought up for Superman years ago, I always thought he was a better fit for Batman.
